"I want to drive my car in today. I need to go get some groceries after work and I know you have that meeting at five. I'll have dinner ready for you when you get home though okay?" Lexi said, buttoning her blouse.

"You spoil me," Tristan said, kissing her cheek softly.

Lexi smiled and they walked hand in hand to the elevators, slowly making the descent towards the parking garage. Lexi's shiny new car that she had gotten last week sat beside Tristan's sleek sports car. They parted and climbed into their respective cars. Tristan rolled down his window and indicated to Lexi to do the same.

"Race you," he said, winking at her as he pulled out. She shook her head and pulled out after him. She headed to the back exit and took an alternate route to work, secretly hoping she would beat him there.

"Took you long enough," Lexi said with a cheeky grin on her face as she leaned against her car, watching as Tristan pulled into the spot beside her.

"If it wasn't for that tractor trailer, I would have smoked you," he said, looking disgruntled at being beaten to the office by his own girlfriend.

     "Sure, sure," she said, teasingly.

He stuck his tongue out at her as he pushed the elevator button.

"Oh, if the stockholders could see you now." She laughed

"They'd see me with a very beautiful, glowing woman so they'd think I'm the luckiest man alive," he said, smiling at her. He kissed her cheek as the elevator dinged, signaling its arrival. "After you m'lady," he added as he ushered her in.

Lexi stepped in and Tristan had a hand around her waist as he pushed the button to their floor. Her heart warmed as she gazed up at this wonderful man. He looked down at her, a smile growing on his face as he leaned down to kiss her lips. They broke apart, but Lexi went in for another one. Tristan's hands tangled in her hair and he deepened their kiss.

The elevator dinged and the door began to open. They broke apart quickly and Lexi could feel the blush in her cheeks. Luckily, the man on his cell phone who stepped inside didn't seem to notice the two lovebirds in the corner. They shared a smile and Lexi tried to contain her giggles.

The day in the office went quick. Tristan was busy prepping for his big meeting that evening and Lexi was busy answering the phones. There were lots of calls today and Lexi's email was almost full with fresh ones awaiting a reply. It took til lunchtime to finish answering the new ones and Lexi snuck down to the cafeteria, grabbing something for herself and Tristan. She knew he was so absorbed in his work, he would forget to eat if she didn't take him something. She dropped it off in his office and headed back out to her desk, shoving small bites of lettuce in her mouth as she typed.

Five o'clock was fast approaching and Tristan stepped out from his officr, suitcase and jacket in hand.

"I'm leaving now, Lex. I'll see you at home," he said coming over and kissing her on the cheek.

"Bye," she hollered after him, typing one of day's last emails. She sent it off and clicked a few more, briefly reading them. They were mostly about invoices and when deliveries could be expected. Lexi answered them quickly and shut her computer down. She grabbed her purse and headed down to her car, praying this grocery trip could be quick.

Lexi parked her new car and grabbed the few bags out of the trunk. She walked over to the elevator and rode to their floor. Fumbling through her purse, she was finally able to open the door. She walked in and closed the door behind her.
