josh has been working on this song
for so long. hell, he's been writing it since before he even dyed his hair.
he decided to bring the idea up
to tyler while they were touring. josh combed his fingers through his messy red hair and he held the old piece of paper with words scribbled together.
he shakily walked up to tyler and sat down next him on the couch. they just got done getting ready and now they just have to wait.
« hey tyler? » josh mumbled and
held the paper with quivering hands. tyler turned and tilted his head when he saw all the words scribbled in messy handwriting.
« yeah? » tyler replied, hoping this
was something about the words he wrote down.
« i-i.. never mind, it's dumb, » josh said quickly. he felt tears well up in his eyes for no reason.
don't cry, josh! you just got your
makeup on and you can't ruin it! josh thought and looked up to see tyler with furrowed eyebrows.
« it won't be dumb, josh, » tyler
said and turned his body towards josh. he reached his hand up to josh's curly hair and smiled.
« i mean, you've said some pretty
dumb things, » tyler said with a chuckle.
« well.. » josh tried to reason, hoping
he would have to show his work. even though he was really proud of how
he wrote it, he was still worried tyler would laugh at him (even if it's unrealistic for tyler to do that).
« remember when you asked
the difference between ethnicity and nationality? » tyler smiled as josh covered his face with his hands.
« fine! i'll show you, just please don't laugh? » josh pleaded as he started
to crumble up the paper on the sides. tyler nodded and reached forward to grab the paper. josh slowly handed it off with a worried look in his eyes.
tyler straightened out the sheet
on his leg and started to read, then he realized they were lyrics.
