“WISDOM IS HAVING COURTESY BEFORE CLARITY”

Henry was not just cute but a gentle man as well, he made life for me in class fun. He would always keep a seat for me in class whenever I came late, his excuse was that I was his school motivation. He actually got the highest mark for the quiz we wrote which actually surprised the lecturer and I got third place and Henry told me Nancy McKee had gotten second place.  Michael still wasn’t talking to me, sometimes I would still a quick glance at him. It was really awkward but I just couldn’t help looking his direction, he looked really hot when he was clam as much as he looked when he was angry or mean. Once after class I called after Michael and when he stopped and looked at me not saying anything I had gone mute, I would have said something but Nancy showed up and kissed Michael while I was standing there luckily enough Henry showed up and saved me from the awkward moment. “why are you standing here watching the two love birds kissing when you’ve got a date with me.” He said.

“I wanted to talk to Michael but I guess it was the wrong timing.” I told Henry. Nancy apologized to me saying she hadn’t noticed me standing there, and said some weird stuff about Michael being irrisitable and being a good kisser but lucky enough Henry stopped her from talking by pulling my hand saying we had to go. Henry said goodbye to Michael, “you guys better be careful how you make out in public, one day you going to be suspended.’’ Henry had warned Michael as we left for the Café.
“Thanks bro! be careful too, because you may just end up six feet under.” Michael told Henry with a sarcastic tone. I turned around and looked at Michael, I was about to let him have it but henry put his hand around my waist and pulled me towards him so I faced him. “don’t mind Michael, he can be really mean sometimes don’t let what he says get to you.” Henry whispered to me and I nodded.
Henry was just so sweet and funny, he had an amazing sense of humor and I never really got bored around him. He would actually escort me to my other classes so people begun to think we were dating or having a fling, yet it was just mare friendship. Henry would even go to the  library with me, and sometimes to the public speaking and debate clubs that I had joined. On our way to my afternoon lab session we met Derick, “is it just my imagination or you guys are an item now?”  Derick asked us when we approached him. Henry and I both laughed, I bet Derick wasn’t the only person questioning the friendship between Henry and I. “I wish we were bro, but Muwemi just doesn’t want to be my girlfriend.” Henry said.
“henry is such a big liar, he never told me anything about him wanting to be my next victim.” I told Derick, and we all just laughed. I asked Derick where Angie was and she told me that she had gone to town to pick up a family friend from the station, and she would be back in the evenings. I said goodbye to Henry and Derick as I rushed for my lab session, and smiled at the thought of Henry checking out my ass.

In the evenings when I went to my room, I found Angie with company. I greeted the lady who was seated on my bed as I sat down next to her, waiting for Angie to introduce us. “Wemi, meet Chloe my childhood friend. Chloe, meet Muwemi my roommate and best friend”
“nice to meet you Chloe, Angie has told me about you.” I said, lying.
“nice to meet you too, I can’t say Angie has told me a lot about you too but it’s a
pleasure knowing you.” Chloe responded with formality. Talk about first impressions, I didn’t know if it was just me but I sensed some bad vibes about Chloe.

I guess just didn’t like her attitude, and how frank she was. Chloe had just reached Zambia the previous day from Australia, she come to Zambia to run some family business errands. ‘’ I really hate travelling, I always get air sick and it gets frustrating.” Chloe complained to Angie.
“Wemi gets sick too, she hates Travelling. Right Muse?” Angie asked me. I looked up my phone, “huh?” I asked.
“Angie was just telling me that you get air sick too.’’ Said Chloe.
“I’ve never been on an airplane, but I do get road sick every time I travel and my legs swell.” I explained.
“wow! I guess being on an airplane would be worse for you, right?” Chloe asked really concerned.
“I guess so, but I’m getting used to it because that’s the only way of travelling from home to school and then back home.’’ I told her
“wow! Where’s home?’’ Chloe asked me with curiosity. “Home is in Lundazi, Eastern province.” I told her.
