Note to Readers: This one's probably a little weird and most definitely medically inaccurate, but it was fun to write, so here you go.

Morgan heaved Reid onto the gurney and then forced him down so he was laying on his back, holding him down even though he was fighting to sit up.

"Reid, stop," Morgan exclaimed, slamming his shoulders back down onto the gurney.

"Morgan, he's losing a lot of blood," McDowell remarked, pressing her hands to the puddle of red seeping from the wound in his side, and Reid screamed in pain and fought harder against them both.

Morgan strained to keep him down, much less still, so McDowell swung h leg up so she was straddling Reid's waist, her hands still pressed to his side until Reid twisted free under her in an attempt to sit up again and she lost her holding, fresh blood streaming from his side.  She hurriedly wiped her blood-coated hand on her pants and then grasped Reid's head in both hands, one pressed to either of his temples.

He struggled against her but Morgan slammed him back again and McDowell stared into Reid's eyes, commanding, "Stop fighting.  I promise you'll be okay."

He calmed down for a brief second before his gaze drifted away from her face and he started shaking uncontrollably.

"Damn it, where are the paramedics!" Morgan shouted, fighting to keep Reid still.

"Rossi, get the defibrillator!" McDowell commanded, searching through the kit on the side of the gurney for some tubing and needles.  "Morgan, what's your blood type?" she asked hurriedly, using most of her strength to stay on top of Reid whose whole body was spasming.

"AB positive," he grunted, trying to keep Reid from hurting himself even more.

"Here," McDowell said, tossing him a piece of tubing with a needle at each end.

Morgan fumbled but caught it, staring at her like she was crazy.

"Reid has O blood, and you can replenish yours faster than he can lose his. Hopefully," she said.

Morgan ripped the plastic off one of the sterile needles and hastily but carefully inserted it into the crook of his elbow before seizing Reid's arm and jamming the other needle right into the blue vein just under the surface of his pale skin.  Reid screamed in pain, the shock had momentarily drawn him out of his spasmodic episode and he stopped shaking but then continued fighting.

Rossi finally came running back over with the defibrillator and McDowell pulled Reid's sweater open and then quickly unbuttoned the shirt he was wearing underneath, exposing his bare chest.  Morgan had a hand placed on either of Reid's shoulders and McDowell had his arms pinned with her knees and her hands bracing his head even though he stopped fighting and was now spasming again, his whole body shuddering with the force of it.

Rossi grabbed the two paddles and called, "Clear!" before placing one paddle on Reid's right pectoral and the other just above his left before they discharged and Reid's whole body jerked and then fell still.

"Again!" McDowell commanded, and Morgan and Rossi gave her a look but Rossi placed the paddles on Reid's chest again and another jerk coursed through his body and he woke with a gap, attempting to sit up again but this time staying still when Morgan forced him back down.

He panted to catch his breath, wincing at the pain in his side, but McDowell released her pinion on his arms and sat back even though she was still straddling his waist, sighing in relief before pressing her hands over Reid's side again.

"Agghhh!" Reid exclaimed in pain, shifting uncomfortably, but he stopped when he noticed the red tube trailing from his arm to Morgan's.  "What--" he started but was too tired to finish the question.

"It's all right, kid," Morgan said, and Rossi nodded his agreement before turning towards the sound of sirens as a second ambulance, this one not abandoned by the unsubs posing as paramedics, finally neared them.

"You're so lucky I'm good at guessing how to save a life," McDowell told Reid, her voice spent of all energy just like the rest of her.  Rossi and Morgan stared at her and she just shrugged and replied, "At one time I was considering becoming a doctor."

Morgan choked back a laugh and Rossi shook his head and said, "Hotch'll have to have a talk with you."

She just smiled to herself and glanced down at Reid under her, blood soaking into his shirt and the cardigan, his chest bare save for the pink outline of the defibrillator paddles, his face pale and his eyes weary, but he was alive.
