"It's late.  Are you planning on coming to bed anytime soon, Spencer?" Charlie called from the hallway, leaning against the doorframe.

She was wearing one of his T-shirts over her underwear, but he was still sitting on the couch, fully-clothed reading a book he had started not even an hour ago even though he was nearly finished with it.

"Yeah, I'll be there in a little bit," Spencer answered without even looking at her.

"You said that half an hour ago.  You'd better be in bed next to me in fifteen minutes," she threatened before turning and going back down the hall to her bedroom.

Chocolate followed her, curling up at her feet on top of the mattress.

Twenty-five minutes later, Spencer came into the bedroom in his matching flannel pajamas, pulling back the blankets.

"Took you long enough.  I know you're a genius, but that means your fabulous brain should probably get more sleep than the normal person, not less," Charlie said.

Chocolate jumped up and went to go stand watch by the front door like he always did if Spencer was there for the night.

Spencer climbed in bed, remarking, "You know that's not how it works," before leaning over and giving Charlie a kiss, sliding a hand over her hip and under the hem of her shirt.

Charlie smirked and kissed him back, undoing the buttons on his shirt.  "You know this is my favorite excuse of yours for not getting a decent amount of sleep," she said in a low voice.

Spencer kissed her again before answering, "I know."

Her scoff of amusement at his uncharacteristic arrogance was silenced by another kiss.
