Thoughts were overtaking her mind as Arizona struggled to comprehend how she'd be returning to her family. She was sat on the floor with her back against the side of her bed, her legs were propped up so her elbows could rest on them whilst she watched the flames in her palm to dance around her fingertips; there was a knock on her door but she ignored it until her door was opened, she made her flames disappear when she noticed it was Wanda, said woman smiled before sitting down beside her, "Hey..."
Arizona instantly sighed as her voice didn't hold any emotion but confliction, "This is my home now. I don't want to leave..."
Wanda placed a hand on Arizona's arm before taking it off, remembering she wasn't a fan of touching, especially if it was in a form of comfort, "We'll figure something out, and I'm pretty sure Tony won't allow them to take you,"
"He would want what's best for me..." Arizona pursed her lips, "And right now, he thinks that he isn't what's best for me," She shook her head, "I hate it, Pepper leaving? Sokovia? Everything has taken its toll on him and nobody gives him enough credit,"
Wanda smiled softly, "I'm proud of you, did you know that?" Arizona turned her head to look at Wanda with confusion, "This time, a few years ago, you would've done anything to kill Tony, as would I, but now look at you," She placed a hand on Arizona's subconsciously, "You are getting there with the touching, you are showing more compassion rather than hiding it," She then lightly nudged the redhead, "And you're defending those you love rather than being forced to stand there and do nothing,"
Arizona looked down at their joined hands, trying to calm her breathing at the feeling of Wanda's soft skin but suddenly felt as though Wanda was trying to rip off her hand, Arizona pulled her hand to her chest, letting go of Wanda's and flicked her head to the side in order to get the hair out of her face, "But what if he decides to take me to the Archers?" Her voice quiet, "I don't even call my parents, Mom and Dad, anymore. I've never had parents long enough to call them that, and I know it would hurt if I called them Louisa and Ashton,"
"You just have to have more time then," Wanda shrugged, "You can't help it if you're not ready, Zona," She shuffled a little bit, "You have reasons as to why you act and behave the way you do, and that's not your fault, okay?"
The door knocked once more, interrupting their conversation and Vision opened the door, "Sorry to intrude but Captain Rogers has called for a meeting,"
"Thank you, Vis," Wanda gave him a reassuring smile before he nodded and left, Arizona breathed out a loud and exaggerated sigh when she stood up, holding her hands out for Wanda to take so she could stand, which she did as she chuckled.
The Fireball held out her arm, gesturing to the open door, offering for Wanda to leave first, "Shall we, my Beautiful Witch?"
Wanda grinned, "We shall, my Puffball of Fire,"
When Wanda and Arizona appeared, Sam and Rhodey were arguing behind Steve who was reading the Accords, "Secretary Ross has a Congressional Medal of Honor, which is one more than you have."
"So let's say we agree with this thing. How long is it gonna be before they Lo-Jack us like a bunch of common criminals?" Sam backfired.
Rhodey huffed in annoyance, "A hundred and seventeen countries want to sign this. A hundred and seventeen, Sam, and you're just like, 'No, that's cool. We got it.'"
