Shen Wei open his eyes. The lights are so bright that he take times to adjust his sight.
Da Qing smiles can be seen at the mirror.
" Am I sleep too long?"
Shen Wei asks while put his back against the car seat.
Da Qing is driving while Lin Jing at front passenger sit,busy taking selfies and scrolling instagram.
"Quite long. We will arrive at the park in another hour ",Da Qing answers.
"Or maybe we will never reach there with you slow drive. Such a fat kitten," Lin Jing remarks and give Shen Wei a bottle of mango juice. "Nah,your favorite ".
"Thanks",Shen Wei slurps his drinks. Nice. He always loves the sweetness of mango.
"What?Fat kitten?I'm not fat and no longer a kitten,ok. I'm 28 already. I drive like this, so we will not be killed by car accident. Lin Jing, you..." Da Qing cannot continue to speak because Lin Jing has put a skewer into his mouth.
"Ye Zun will kill us first because we are dragging his dear brother who is sick",Lin Jing scratch his head.
"Don't worry, he believes you guys can take of me. Plus, we did not meet for ages. If it's not today, maybe we cannot see each other anymore",Shen Wei speak calmly and keep drinking. He already informed his brother about trip. Just skip the part that he is having little flu. He doesn't want to miss this trip and to be drag by his overprotective didi to the hospital. Trust him,it had happened before like literally when he is sick during college.
"By the way, had you found the man of your dream?" Lin Jing asks before he eats. Da Qing nods rapidly as a sign that he approve that question.
"Eh?"Shen Wei burst his juice. He starts to have this weird dream since middle high school. The same dream repeat so frequently until now,yet he has no single idea about the man in the dream.
He can hear footsteps slowly approaching from the back.
"Your finally here,"he said when the steps stop. The owner of the foot chuckles,"are you finally leaving?"
"Every life will die out. At least our choice is meaningful", Shen Wei answer while holding his tears. Gosh! This is so hurt. Then, he turns his back and his smile breaks automatically when he sees the man. The sense of longing is so strong because he miss the man so much.
In the silent, he can hear the man thought, "I'm glad you are fine". He smiles sweetly but the pain in his eyes cannot be hide.
For a while, no words spoken. Only various feelings are lingering between them.
Shen Wei make the first step. This farewell must be quick. He feel like he going to break down in front of him soon as fragile as the leaves in autumn. "Let's bet!"
"Bet what?" the man asks.
"Bet.."Shen Wei move nearer to the man as he continues, "no matter how long it takes,no matter where we go,there must be one day we will meet again".
"Deal",the man said without hesitation. He tries to reach Shen Wei but suddenly everything turns to blank white.
The dream will end like that. At first, he cannot see the man at all.But day by day,it's become clearer.
"Shen Wei!"Lin Jing calls bring him back to reality.
"Sorry Lin Jing. The answer of your question is no. It's crazy and impossible ",Shen Wei starts to eat. But just a little because his stomach is already full with mango juice.
Da Qing and Lin Jing exchange smile. Shen Wei realises that and asks, "What? Just said it and then i choose to accept or not ".
Da Qing starts in serious tone which is so contrary than usual ,"We think that you will meet him soon. Don't avoid the fate because everything happens for a reason".
"We always with you through thick or thin. Even if we become a ghost. Wait, guardian angel is better name",Lin Jing continues.
Shen Wei is puzzles. He wants to ask more but he shrieks in fear when a huge truck is coming towards their lane. A car in front them also turns abruptly.
Everything is out of control like an apocalypse.
