Future 1

The New Year holiday just around the corner. Zhao Yunlan make a decision;he will bring Shen Wei and Yezun to his parents' house.

Of course, he wants to introduce them as his new family members. Shen Wei is his wife and Yezun is his brother in law.

If his parents may not agree, Yunlan still can persuade them to accept the twins as  his brothers (he has to keep his feelings deep down. Shit! It's something he might die than let it happen).

He asks the twins about his plan. Both of them agree in wary.

"Don't worry. On the second day of the holiday, I will go to meet your parents instead",Yunlan says while taking the side dishes into his plate.

"What  if everything becomes wrong at the very beginning?"Yezun asks bluntly. Yunlan hesitate for a   while Shen Wei reduce his eating pace.

"I swear that  my family and I will never hurt your guys' feelings", Yunlan reassure their worry fast.

Shen Wei surprisingly cuts his words "Are you sure? This relationship is very unusual, you know. You are the only child of your parents. They must expect you to have a normal,ordinary relationship".

Yunlan leaned back,startled, "No. I am quite out of the ordinary since kid so they don't care much about norms. What they want is to me be happy and  I only happy  if I am with you".

The storm in Shen Wei heart disappears after hearing the words. He put a lot of meat in Yunlan plate despite Yezun protests.

Two weeks later,

No! Yezun almost jumps from his bed. His body full of sweats and tears.

"Yezun?Are you okay?" Shen Wei ran towards him. Yezun cling to his brother as though he is afraid Shen Wei will disappear into dust.

"I love you ge", Yezun sobs. " I dreamed that you are  going to be hurt tomorrow. You  kneel in the middle of heavy rain for the sake of your relationship with Yunlan".

Shen Wei kisses Yezun forehead softly and give a assuring look. "Don't worry. It's just a silly  nightmare".

Actually, Shen Wei also scare. They have  grown without their parents from a very long time. Thank goodness, they survive  without going to the wrong path.

Usually, elders tend to prejudice the one who grown up without parents. Especially,if they own high reputation in society.

However, Shen Wei has high confidence for Zhao Yunlan parents. Looking at  how great Zhao Yunlan is, his parents must a kind  and open minded person.

The moment the car stop in front of a huge french concession style mansion. Zhao Yunlan,Shen Wei and Yezun get out from the car.All of them are nervous. Shen Wei keeps fixing his suit, tie and glasses.

 Yezun heaves a soft sigh,"Ge, you are the most beautiful person of the day. Don't worry. You also the most soft,well behaved  person I have  ever known. Zhao Yunlan parents will like you very much".

"Yes, I agree with Yezun. Believe me, the moment they laid their eyes on you, they regret the fact that I am their son, not you. Seriously both of you are my mom dream sons",Zhao Yunlan add. Meanwhile, his mind busy preparing for words to present his intention later. Just in case,they may face some difficulty later.

But, he remembered he calls with his mother last night. There is a clear hope. His mother already passes the green light and assures him to persuade his father as well. Well, sometimes his mother words are the law of their house.

She is the well know empress dowager after all either at her workplace and the house.

"Hello!" the door of the mansion open and an elegant woman in fiftieth walks gracefully towards them. She is layered with some   majestic aura that make people no choice but to respect her. But, she also has gentle motherly vibes.

"Hello,Mrs Zhao. My name is Shen Wei. This is my little brother,Yezun," Shen Wei and Yezun bow politely towards Zhao Yunlan mother. Then, Shen Wei gives  strawberry shortcake cookies and pumpkin pastry that he baked  as the gifts. Yezun helps as well.

"Shen Wei baked these by themselves", Zhao Yunlan adds.

Mrs Zhao smiles brightly at the gifts. Those are her husband and her favorites,"Wow!Thank you very much. I really wish you guys were my sons, not this brat!" 

Thus,  she takes Shen Wei with her right hand while Yezun with her left hand and pull them into the house, totally ignoring his own son.Zhao Yunlan smirk. His mother just like him, so fascinated with the twins until she forget the rest of the world.

His mother continues to drag the  twins straight to the kitchen and spoil them with a lot of food. "Eat first, talk later. Don't be shy. Treat this as your own home and me as your mother",she  says while putting a lot of different dishes on their plates. The twins are awkward but Zhao Yunlan just signal them to eat and enjoy the moment. 

He sits beside Shen Wei and whispers to his ear, "My mom has a soft heart for beauty. Me too." Shen Wei  quickly pushes Zhao Yunlan away. Why Yunlan still flirting  with him shamelessly in front of his mother?

Yezun only shakes his head. That crazy bastard! He success  to distract Mrs Zhao by praising her for the dishes and make  small talks with her.  Meanwhile, Shen Wei eats quietly as he is still shy and nervous.

 Zhao Yunlan  cuts in  by asking "Does dad  not coming home today right?"

Her mother's mood turns sour, "He comes but late. Now, he is attending a dinner with some superior officers in Mayor's house. Duh! I bet the Mayor's  wife must mad and hate his husband silently because this is New Year holiday. It's suppose to be a  private family moment. Not be interrupted by strangers".

Shen Wei suddenly coughs.

Zhao Yunlan wants to give the water to Shen Wei but her mother is faster. She even wipes Shen Wei mouth with concern ," Are you okay Shen Wei? Don't take heart with my speech. From the day Yunlan told me about you guys, i already regard both of you as my own sons. Three of you can become brothers".

Now, Zhao Yunlan is the one who coughs. But, her mother mad with him," Zhao Yunlan, can't you eat properly like an adult?"

Zhao Yunlan  speaks after sipping  the water for a few times, " I don't want to become Shen Wei brother. I want to be his spouse!"

The situation has  become tense. Shen Wei heart almost drops  to the ground and stare intensely at his plate. Yezun hold his brother's  hand tightly and gaze sternly at Zhao Yunlan. Shit! Why you choose this time to drop the bomb? You should let  us fill our stomach first.

"What!" a new voice come from the door of the kitchen. All eyes towards to the direction. Mr Zhao Xin Chi stands frozen as someone had slapped his face.

It starts raining outside.
