Gavin huffed out an exasperated sigh, glancing around the office with tired eyes.

Mercy-

A familiar android was watching him closely, easily noticing how the other's gaze tried to avoid him.

Why you show up lookin' so good just to hurt me?

Gavin went tight lipped as he and Colin's eyes met for a split moment, before he had the chance to rip his gaze away, the other started to approach him.

Why you wanna stop this whole damn world from turning?

"Gavin....?"

Gavin's brows furrowed amd he gritted his teeth.

It'd been so long since he'd heard that voice say his name like that.

Mercy.

"Are you alright?"

Gavin squeezed his eyes shut before looking away and mumbling softly.

"What do you think, captain obvious? Your the fucking walking encyclopedia, why don't you figure it out?!"

Colin's eyes seemed to sadden at Gavin's words.

Because he knew.

Why you wanna hang on so tight if this ain't working?

He knew Gavin wasn't really angry with him. He knew Gavin buried everything inside and put up and angry and rude front as a defense.

Why you wanna stop this flame if it's still burning?

"Gavin...I know your upset with me...but I did it to protect you-"

Gavin had stood from his chair, grabbing Colin by the front of his chair.

Gavin's voice started to tremble.

"I-...I don't care anymore..."

Gavin whispered, burying his face in Colin's chest, not caring about anyone seeing them in the nearly empty office.

And if your gonna take your shot, just take it.

Colin lifted a hand and gently brought Gavin closer.

"Gavin..."

Broken sobs escaped from the shorter man.

Colin hesitated only a moment before smiling softly and kissing Gavin's forehead.
