It was a dark and quiet night.

Gavin and Colin were both curled up comfortably in bed, sleeping like most would be at this hour.

Well except Colin.

Colin lifted his head up from the pillow and glanced at the alarm clock.

It read 12:28 AM, so it was quite late.

Colin rolled his shoulder's sliding the blanket's lower down his torso.

He really didn't need to sleep as much as a person so he'd take the opportunity to watch Gavin sleep.

He looked so peaceful when he was sleeping.

Well that and he enjoyed the silence.

Colin propped himself up on one elbow, his hand resting against his cheek and supporting his face, just admiring Gavin's sleeping face.

Colin carefully brushed his hand across Gavin's chest, feeling his heartbeat through the thin material of Gavin's t-shirt.

It was warm...steady.

The human heart may have been inferior to Colin's thirium pump but honestly, his thirium pump left a lot to be desired.

Though much like a human's it would speed up or slow down depending on how he was feeling.

But he wasn't human.

Colin moved his hand to cup Gavin's jaw, caressing his face before moving to run his finger's through the man's dark brown hair.

He just found Gavin...Intoxicating.

Yeah, he had an overall rough exterior and was kind of an ass at times but there was more to him then that.

He was kind, he understood Colin more than anyone else really, and he saw him as much more then just an Android.

But he was just an android.

Colin grimaced, at the thought.

Yes he could feel thing's, and yes he was self aware and had his own thought's but...

He wasn't like any normal human being.

Unlike Gavin's he was built with wires, metal's and cold machinery.

He wasn't flesh and blood like his love.

And he never would be.

Colin's LED flickered red to yellow on and off but immediately flickered back to blue when he set his gaze on Gavin.

Colin calmed himself by stroking Gavin's cheek and of course eventually Gavin's eyes fluttered open, surprising the android by speaking.

"Enjoying yourself there, Colin?"

Colin huffed out a chuckle and rolled his eyes.

"Hmmm...I don't know, I liked it much better when you were asleep."

Gavin pouted, propping himself up, mirroring Colin.

"Hey..."

Gavin muttered reaching out a hand to brush against Colin's neck.

Colin caught Gavin's hand and held it there, leaning into it's warmth.

"What are you doing up, anyways? we have work in the morning."

Colin flopped back down, cuddling his pillow.

"I was just thinking."

Gavin massaged the back of Colin's neck.

"About what?"

"You and me..."

Colin leaned into Gavin and inhaled deeply.

Gavin leaned his head to one side.

"How so?"

Colin hesitated.

"Just...that I'm and android..."

"So what?"

Gavin's fingers skimmed across the skin on Colin's back.

"That maybe you'd be happier with another human being."

Colin mumbled quietly.

Gavin sighed, sitting up and grabbing Colin's face.

Gavin looked at Colin, annoyed.

"No I wouldn't. Your the only person that makes me happy, Colin. I don't love any human, I love you, you silly fucking android-"

Colin pulled Gavin down into a kiss.

Gavin tried to fight it so he could rant at the android some more for having such thought's but eventually just gave in.

But when Gavin pulled away he simply flopped back down on the bed next to Colin before snuggling into his chest.

"I love you, Gavin."

"I love you too. Now go to sleep. You think about the most impossible shit when your awake."

Gavin raised a hand and stroked his finger's through the android's hair until Colin finally succumbed to sleep.
