Their echoeing footsteps were barely heard over the pitter patter of rain against the cement sidewalk.

However despite the rain, Colin could still hear Gavin mumbling angrily under his breath.

He'd gotten into yet another shouting match with fowler and gotten himself quite riled up.

Colin had suggested he take his break early and maybe go for a walk.

And much to Colin's suprise Gavin grabbed his jacket off of the chair and started walking towards the door.

Colin said nothing and merely followed the shorter man.

Now as Gavin trudged forward Colin could help but smile as he started to grumble grumpily, about the rain.

Suddenly Colin bumped into Reed, but the other barely moved an inch.

Colin looked up suprised and confused.

"Gavin-?"

Gavin held up a hand silencing him.

"Shh..."

Gavin looked back at Colin before walking towards a nearby bundle of bushes.

Gently and Carefully Gavin knelt in front of the bush, and started....

Cooing to it?

Colin raised a brow and slowly walked up behind Gavin, his eyes searching for whatever Gavin was talking to.

Before he could ask However, Reed stood back up, this time with a white and Orange kitten in his grasp.

Gavin smiled at the Androids eye's which were now wide with Excitement and curiousity.

Gavin gently wrapped the sides of his jacket around the shivering little kitten, and it immediately nuzzled into the newfound heat, and let out a small squeaking noise.

*meow*

Gavin let Colin step closer, and Colin smiled, scratching the kitten behind its ears causing it to purr loudly.

"I like her, Detective."

Colin said happily causing Gavin to let out a soft chuckle.

"Lets get her back to the station. She can come home with us but she'll have to stay at the station until we go home."

Colin nodded excitedly.

.............

Colin held the door open for Gavin seeing as he had both arm's wrapped around the kitten, keeping her warm.

He looked up and noticed Hank and Connor staring at him.

Ah, why the hell not?

"Hey Connor, want to see something?"

Connor looked up at Gavin suprised.

"What is it, Detective Reed?"

Hank watched Gavin suspiciously, unsure of what Gavin was about to show Connor.

Much to Hank's suprise Gavin opened his jacket and set a tiny kitten on the floor.

Much to Hank's amusement Connor's eyes got as big a saucers and he got a big goofy smile and immediately knelt on the floor to pet the kitten.

Gavin chuckled again and sat on Hanks desk.

The two men quietly watched the androids playing with the kitten on the floor while the rain played its melody on the roof.
