Layers of Insecurities

Chapter 3

As everyone got settled down in their new seating arrangements, I waste no time and took out my black pencil case, my black notebook and pen. while I was busy taking notes I feel like someone is staring at me, but I knew who it was, glancing over to Lily I ask her if I could borrow her notes for the previous classes that I have missed without a second thought someone threw his notebook on my desk, I looked over and saw him staring right at me with a smirk and said.

'' you can use my notebook if you want. " he said as his ocean blue eyes stared right into my eyes, "no thank you" I whisper softly while my face was boiling hot. what is this ? why am I acting this way ?, and why is my heart beating so fast. calming myself down I decided to pay my attention to the lesson, but I did not miss the feeling of someone staring at me throughout the whole lesson. An hour later of how to write essays later, it was time to go math class my least favorite classes of all time. safe to say I suck at math, never can I understand it. 

" Rosy, you know that Dante is going to be in all of our classes right ?" she ask while staring ahead, sighing I nodded. math classes started and this time I got to sit next to Lily again and meet some of her new friends, Olivia and Victoria, its funny how she can find someone just as bright as her they all wore colorful clothes while they look like rainbow and sunshine, I looked like the storm cloud. " Rose so I heard what happen, are you okay ?" Olivia ask while looking at my hand, "mhmm " I said, I am not one who likes to talk but I would reply if I want to if not I would just nod, she gave me an sympathy look and continue to discuss about what they should do this weekend. Victoria finally spoke up and said " Guys, why don't we hang out this weekend" all of them smiled and agreed they turned to look at me, ugh! I hate getting attention, so I just shrug my shoulder and shrink back to my chair and said " I don't know, I don't like going outside " all of them groan and Lily started to eyed the two girls and stare at me. 

"come on Rosy, you never hang out with me " Lily said. "beside all these years I am starting to think that you might not consider me as your best friend" she said as she faked hurt and clutch her heart, while wiping her imagination tears. 

"yeah and we can take this opportunity to get to know each other " said Victoria, while Olivia agreed ' yeah come on its going to be fun!".

I looked over to all of them and sigh " alright alright I will go" the girls squeal and started to talk about what they should buy and the latest fashion trend. 

While the girls were busy talking, I have a strange feeling that someone was staring at me, so I turn around and looked around the classroom until I spot the one and only trouble maker, his ocean blue eyes met mine he gave a small smirk and I quickly adverted my eyes my face flushed. I've never understood why he was named the trouble maker Lily said he never did any crimes in school, but he is known to be ruthless to those came into his way, sure he is handsome and well very handsome, he could get any girls he want in school, but the rumors so far I only heard that he have only dated one girl his entire life, I don't know if it's true but I didn't plan to find out.

After what felt like hours, math class was finally over and now it was lunch time "ugh! that was boring, I am starving " Olivia exaggerated as her swung her hands around.  " stop being so dramatic I saw you ate snacks during math class" Victoria replied "sneakily "while doing the air quote sign, making the girls giggled and I gave them a small laugh. " Rosy?" Lily called to me, "yeah?" I ask, she came close and whispers "Rosy,  if you feel uneasy you can tap my hand twice and I will take you out okay ?" Lily knows about my phobias, since she knew what I was put through and somehow she can always comfort me and make me think about something else. When we enter the cafeteria it was filled with students and teachers, Olivia and Victoria was off to get food while we search for a place to sit, Lily said that they have their own seat so we don't need to get into any troubled in finding seats. the place was nice there is less students here good thing.

While I was sitting beside Lily, Victoria and Olivia came back with their trays and Lily was off to get her food, Lily came back with some cookies and juices she placed It right in front of me, she smiled and said "here is your usual lunch, you know Rosy you should eat something" she said as she place her tray down on the table, she knew about me, she basically knows all my daily routine since she was the one who was with me while I was changing, she tried to talk me out of it but I never stopped. "thank you Lily, I am not hungry " was all I said before I took out my book and read it. while I was reading and munching on my cookies and drinking my juice.

The peaceful lunch was soon interrupted by a swarm of high-school girls screaming and shrieking, we looked over to see what the commotion is about and we all groan as we saw who came walking and sat at the table right across from ours, it is the school trouble maker, their leader Dante , along side with Louise,Rick and grey, they were the heart breaker of the school they never causes trouble unless to those who disobey them. The girls tried to push each other to get to sit next to them while the guys watch them with amusement in their eyes, as I stared at them, I realized that Dante was staring directly at me, his ocean blue eyes was so beautiful I don't think I have ever seen such eyes before, quickly after admiring his eyes I dropped my eyes and focus more on my book. 

"Seems like those girls are really desperate " Victoria spoke up, "they really can't seem to relax whenever those boys are around" she shakes her head and continue to stare.

"I know do you think they can catch their attention by screaming ?" Olivia scoff while she stare at  them. Lily just laugh at them and continue to eat, they soon started eating too.

 Soon after three young boys came and sit at the table next to me, at first I didn't realize what they were eating but as I glanced their way, on their trays I saw a whole fish with eye balls and tail and everything. I froze and dropped my book on the table as memories starts to flood into my mind, those fish that I saw dying and fluttering around me, those girls who locked me up. I started to black out my breathing stopped, Lily seems to sense something that wasn't right and looked over beside me. " oh.. no we have to get out" she quickly said and dragged me out, Olivia and Victoria had also stopped what they are doing and followed us out, I was having a hard time breathing I was starting to black out, I fell to my knees and lean back against the locker while holding my leg. Victoria and Olivia looked puzzled, While Lily sat on the ground with me "hey Rosy look at me, they are gone, that is not real, you are safe they won't do that to you ever again, calm down, I am here" while she was comforting me and hugging me, my hoodie fell off and the looked on Victoria and Olivia was shocked, my scar was pretty big and it was visible, they all sat down beside me and said "hey, Rosy we are here now, whatever happens in the past its gone " they both looked at me worried. I was crying, I tried to stand up but before I knew it I blacked out, the last thing I heard was a male voice saying "whats wrong with her?".
