3 years later.....

it has been three years, three whole years since i've changed and learn, i have become who i am because of my past. i looked in the mirror and i've changed the girl who cry and hides behind her hood, are now replaced with a beautiful and independent woman who can now handle any storm that passes her way. 

A lot of things had happen in the past three years. all my brother got married my little brother, who was a total genius already has a scholar ship in one of the most popular yet challenging college to get into, what?!! i didn't even get to go to college and now i am twenty years old running a company, well i guess i would be here anyway even if i were to go to college. 

bursted into the office where my eldest brother Preston and his wife Penelope, my eldest brother Preston and Penelope had two kids they are twin Sapphire and Brent, they are 2 years old, and my second eldest brother currently has one whose name is Ember given she has emerald green eyes. 

"Hey, baby sis!" i got up and side hug my brother who has his other arm occupied by little Sapphire, Penelope soon follow with Brent in her arms. "Hi Penelope " i walked over and gave a big hug, 

"so what bring you guys here?" puzzled by their sudden visit, i ask them 

"umm, i just wanted to tell you that, come home tonight mom and dad has something important to tell you, everyone will be there" confused i just nod and went on and chat with them. 

That night....

it is 7 pm when i have arrived i went up to my room to get ready, it is not that i live in a different house, it's just that i am so busy lately that i haven't been home, in these past month some other company are really getting on my nerves they took all the sales and most of my partner are now trying to join them. but at least it hasn't got to a point where i should be worried i am just taking a precaution. 

As i was drying my hair my mom walks in the room she saw me and smile " Hi mom, what are you doing?" she sat down at the edge of my bed and just said " dress formally, we have to attend a party" i just nodded.

I quickly put on some light makeup, curled my hair and put on some simple off the shoulder dress, checking myself in the mirror. if you would have told me 4 years ago that i would be who i am today i would laugh, but now i have been so grateful for what i am and who i have become, Quickly brushing off the thought, i grab my purse and head downstairs. 

Mom and dad was waiting for me downstairs and stands up as soon as i got down " you look beautiful honey" dad came and give me a kiss on the cheek which i return the kiss, mom look like she was about to cry, " mom, stop" she looks away trying to hold back the tears i walk to her and gave her a tight embrace " i am okay" she looks at me and brushed my hair from my face and gave me a tight smile and sigh, together with my parents link on both of my arm we walk to the car, and head on to wherever the heck it is. 

We have arrived at a place where i can see basically everyone whose name is on the top 60 richest or most successful people, my parents and brothers led me to a table where they have basically know where they are going it almost seems like they have planned it, about 30 minutes in after i have made some conversation here and there, i went and sat down near my parents. the table was big enough to fit all of my family members but there are still 3 chairs unoccupied. 

Two middle age couple came and sat down one seat away from me and looks at me warmly my parents greeted them and talked as if they have known each other for a long time now " Tulip, say hello" and i did i make some conversation here and there, i was drinking my water my mom leaned and whisper, " Honey, meet your potential mother in law" i almost choke on my drinks 

"Mom!" i whisper shouted at her, " you are trying to set me up?" i whisper disbelief "we've been through this i don't want anyone "

"Does that mean you don't want me too?" a deep husky voice replies, why does that voice sound so familiar? " Hi tulip" with this i turn my head and met with the same dazzling Ocean blues eyes, he look the same only more built and his physique have turn from a boyish look to a real greek god, he was in a black Armani suit, he shot me a smile and i stood up immediately overwhelmed by the emotion, i have promised myself not to believe him or in love but that promise was washed down the drain as i stand face to face with him.

"Dante...?" a whisper came out of my mouth, immediately he engulf me in a tight hug and i return it, we were in each other embrace for god knows how long " i miss you, where were you?" he whisper in my hair i buried myself in the crook of his neck and breathe in his scent, but before i could reply someone cleared their throat which is my eldest brother who shot Dante a murderous glare, our parent just laughs and shook their head, i let go and sat down with my face flushed red. 

" looks like we made the right choice of pairing them" Dante took the seat next to mine, everyone in the ball either look please or envy with jealousy as they saw me hugging Dante. 

"Looks like we don't have to put up with their anger since they already knew each other" Dante dad spoke up, i blushed and played with my hand only for Dante to intertwined my hand with his under the table. he pulls my chair closer to him and i gasp everyone on the table looks pleased. 

"Let's cut to the chase, you two are getting engaged" my dad announced and with that Dante lips came crushing down to mine, in only which i return after i have calmed down.
