Chapter 17

CHAPTER 17: SOPHIA’S POV

Hi, I’m Sophia, Kiefer’s fiancé, they said I’m maldita, that’s true, but since my fiancé is a good fiancé, I changed my attitude. I want to look good on his eyes too, I never show him my jealousy kahit sobrang selos na selos nako. I love him too much, but I’m not desperate for his attention, he’s popular, I can’t help that. But ever since he met Eyven, lalong nabawasan yung attention niya saken, sometimes, when were alone, wala siyang ibang binabanggit kundi Eyven, iniisip ko nalang nab aka namimiss niya yung little Eyven niya in the past.

When our parents first introduce us to each other, he straightly said to me that he has a girl whom he loves so much, and her name was Eyven, and he can’t promise that he can love me 100%, so I accepted that, in short, 40% lang ako, 60% kay Eyven.

Fast forward, it was morning when we went to Balabac Island in Palawan, Rain went missing that night, when Eyven left me alone in  the tent, someone tried to open the zipper of my tent, natakot ako, when it was already opened, Rain’s head pop out.

Sophia: R-Rain?!

Rain: Sophia? Nasaan sila?

Sophia: huh?! Ikaw dapat tinatanong ko niyan! Saan ka galling?!

Rain: umm.. sleep walk? Nagising ako nung nadapa ako,

Sophia: you-! Really!

Rain: what?

Sophia: they all went inside the forest to look for you, and it’s already been 2 hours at di padin sila bumabalik,

Rain: omo!

Lumabas ako ng tent, Then saktong padating si Gel,

Gel: Sophia!

Sophia: gel, nasaan si Kiefer?

Gel: rain?! Where did you went?!

Rain: sleep walk, sorry for causing you trouble,

Sophia: gel! Saan si Kiefer? Kasama mo siya diba?

Gel: nagkahiwalay kami, teka si Eyven?

Sophia: sinundan kayo,

Gel: what?!

Sophia: tumawag na kaya tayo ng mga rescuers,

Gel: how? Nasa dulo tayo ng karagatan

Rain: I will go back and asked someone, kalmado naman ang dagat ehh,

Gel: are you sure?

Rain: yup! Don’t worry, I’ll be back!

Then umalis na siya, after 5 hours, dumating na siya kasama ang limang coast guards,

Rescuer1: where are they?

Gel: inside the forest sir,

Rescuer1: okay, let’s go

Sophia: I’ll go with you,

Gel: stay here with Rain, baka ikaw naman ang mawala, don’t worry, we’ll be back as soon as possible,

With his assuring note, I stayed with rain.

Rain: don’t worry, they’ll be safe, the rescuers said that there is no wild animals here,

Sophia: I hope so,

After an hour, they came, but I saw Gel’s carrying Eyven, she’s unconscious,

Rain: o my G! Ven! What happened?!

Gel: she collapsed, get ready the yacht!

Tumakbo si Rain sa yate, habang buhat buhat ni Gel si Eyven, nakita ko sa side si Kiefer, inaalalayan siya ng mga rescuers, but instead of looking straight, he’s looking at Eyven with worried expression on his face. I felt a pang in my heart.

Sophia: Kiefer!

Kiefer: oh, Sophia, you okay?

Sophia: I’m okay, I’m so worried,

I hugged him tight, I feel like I didn’t seen him for years.
