Chapter 27

CHAPTER 27: KIEFER'S POV

Magf-four years na since then.. I am still hanging out with Rain,

Rain: Kei, we need to go!

Kiefer: huh? To where?

Rain: Gel is.... dead,

He cried when he said those words, I was really shocked,

Kiefer: what?! Wait, how did you know?

Rain: Francis told me,

Kiefer: w-what happened?!

Rain told me the whole story.. Gel really loved Eyven, giving his life for Eyven, I can't compete with that. A lot has happened for four years,

Rain: let's go, let's see him for the last time,

Kiefer: where is he?

We went to central memorial cemetery, naabutan namin si Francis, he's crying,

Francis: kiefer, rain

Kiefer: long time no see,

Francis: I can't believe we would meet in a place like this,

Kiefer: you're right,

I looked at Gel's face while they were burying him, then I started crying, the tears won't stop from falling.

4 days after, even though the weather is bad, cause it's raining hard today,  I went to his graveyard to pay a visit, but someone is sitting in front of his grave crying,

Kiefer: Ey..ven?

Lumapit ako at pinayungan siya,

Kiefer: you'll get sick if you stay here under the rain,

The woman looked to me slowly and she looked shocked,

Ven: Kie..fer...

Her face is a mess, just like before, when I met her 14 years ago,

Kiefer: wait here,

I went to buy her clothes and let her change her clothes inside my car, when she was finished, I brought her to a café,

I ordered her a hot chocolate, but she's not speaking.. after 30 minutes, I broke the silence,

Kiefer: I heard what happened,

Ven: .....

She started crying like a kid holding his tear, and started talking,

Ven: he.. he never left my side, he take good care of me, he loved me sincerely, he devoted his everything for me, he lived for my sake, and he is too kind to deserve this..

Then she cried and cried,

Kiefer: people.. people come and go, nothing stays, nothing is permanent.

I wanted to hug her, kiss her, and do everything to her, but I realized, this is not the right time. I also realize that I should start from the scratch, I will court her, and do my very best to have her.

[After 2 years]

It was Eyven's 26th birthday, at engrandeng celebration ang magaganap.. that night, everyone was invited, ebev Sophia was invited, we gathered at one table, the four of us, Sophia, Rain, me and Eyven,

Sophia: happy birthday Ven!

Ven: thanks!

Rain: here's my present,

Ven: thanks Rain, it feels nostalgic haha

Kiefer: I wish Gel was here, I'm missing him so much

Sadness fills the air,

Rain: Kei! He's with us! He is inside of our hearts, pero kay Eyven wala sa puso niya, nasa lungs,

Ven: gagi!

Itinawa nalang namin tong kalungkutan nato and we enjoyed the party.
