Never have Hyunjin and Y/N thought being married would be this much of a problem. They thought being former idols part of their background would mean living a lighter life. Sure they succeeded in buying a house for themselves from their saving as idols but they have to pay for bills and daily necessities and what they have was enough for just for that. Too enough.

Being able to pay for bills and buy groceries were good but they needed to save. But this wasn't the only problem Y/N has. Time. She needed Hyunjin's time. You see, Hyunjin works as a choreographer of multiple groups at JYP entertainment; this would cost most of his tine. Spending almost all day at the building and making choreographies and such for comebacks and returning home in the middle of the night, and at times, he would partake as a backup dancer for concerts that was being held locally. This job means: no rest, no get together, and no quality time for the couple-- which was Y/N's main concern!

They are a married couple but Hyunjin has barely enough time to even spend it with her. Not a small 'I love you' in the morning before leaving nor a simple kiss before sleeping; it caused great dissatisfaction in Y/N's heart. She feels like their growing distant from one another as days pass. This wasn't what kind of married life she has thought to have. Not at all.

She tries to be the understanding girlfriend she can possibly be but when forgotten anniversaries and birthdays were getting more and more frequent, she began to think, this is something intolerable.

So one specific night, she waited. Didn't mind the short hand of the clock striking 12. She didn't mind that her eyelids wanted to willingly shut together. She didn't even think about the fact she had work tomorrow at the cafe. She just waited patiently inside the depths of the dark kitchen. She thought at the moment that she couldn't bare another minute and just sleep at her seated spot. Maybe he wouldn't be returning home like in some occasions due to sudden concerts. But the sound of rustling keys and door opening told her otherwise.

As if by magic, her all being awakened by the familiar noise of pattering snickers of their tiled floor (she couldn't deny the amount of times she automatically wakes up at the tapping sound of Hyunjin's snickers).

Just then before Hyunjin could stagger up their room, Y/N already called out for his attention.

"Hyunjin, babe? Can we talk for a while?" She said in a soft tone, almost as of a whisper, knowing that her husband is tired from work. A rumble erupted from Hyunjin's mouth as he turned to his wife that stood almost invisible due to the closed lights.

"Can't we do that tomorrow? I'm really tired." Said Hyunjin in a groggy tone, face droopy as it is. Y/N felt her stomach churn with guilt but they needed to talk about it. Now.

"No. We need to talk about this now. Please." She begged. Another sound of disapproval came from her other half (in which she chose to ignore) then climbing down the steps he had already made.

"What is it?" Asked Hyunjin by the time he faced his wife. Y/N stared at his eyes surrounded by dark spots and held fatigue.

It took her all her willpower to croak out the words she wanted to say for a long time--"What happened?" She gave direct eye contact to Hyunjin who had no idea what she said.

           "What do you mean?"

"What happened to us, Hyunjin. We were never the same. What happened to you." She said as her tears threatened to spill from her eyes as if her words were heavy blocks that got lifted.

"What are you talking about, Y/N? Nothing's wrong." Hyunjin said, still with a tired but confused look.

"No Hyunjin. Everything is wrong. Can't you see we're falling apart! We haven't been able to spend time for each other because you're too busy with your job!" Exclaimed Y/N, tears racing their way down her cheeks. She shoved her husband with every word she spoke. Hyunjin made no actions in wiping them away, too blinded by irritation.

"I have no idea what you're talking about Y/N! What is up with you today? You waited for me just to give me this- this drama! I thought you understood why I can't spend that much quality time with you!"
Yelled Hyunjin.

"Drama? Drama?! Hyunjin, you have no idea how much I've been keeping patient with your so called "important schedules" but this is too much!" Said Y/N pointing at whatever situation they have now.

"What is too much? You mean me working for the both of us?! Well sorry if I just wanted to provide!"

"Don't talk like you're the only one who strives here! I also do my best to provide for the both of us but you're too busy seeing it!" Argued Y/N.

"Oh don't worry I know." He said sarcastically. "I know how hard it is to work at a small cafe that barely even have customers for 3 days a week!" Hyunjin stated. To say Y/N was offended is an understatement. It was the cafe she wanted for so long even before becoming an idol. She knows that she spent so much of her savings on it and that she's losing profit but this coming from her own husband's mouth was much more painful.

More tears spilled from Y/N's eyes and her hand made its way to Hyunjin's cheek. "How dare you!" She shoved Hyunjin farther. " How dare  you insult my cafe! You know how much I've wanted it ever since! I'm sorry I couldn't provide as much as you can! I'm sorry that I just wanted attention from my husband! I'm sorry if I even pulled you in this argument, but do you even know what day it is today? It's our anniversary and you forgot. AGAIN!" Y/N panted. Her cheeks stained with tears, eyes tired from crying and sleepiness and hair disheveled-- she was a mess.

"I've been patient with you Hyunjin. I really was. But how many times have you forgotten our wedding anniversary? Tell me I can't can't count." But Hyunjin kept quiet.

"Ever since we retired from being idols and married one another we thought we would live healthily. But ever since you returned to JYP even with the amount of protests I gave , you were never there anymore." Y/N ran to her own room that hasn't been used as she poured her emotions out. Hyunjin gripped his hair as frustration and tiredness took over. Both of the thinking,

'What happened to us?'
