holy woah. the two newcomers introduced themselves as shouto todoroki and tooru hagakure. i can't say much about hagakure-san except that she seems really friendly and more optimistic. shouto-kun seems more relaxed and quiet. he has a distinct scar around his left eye that really compliments his more pale skin tone. regardless, they both seemed very nice and friendly. kacchan was being a bit of a jerk earlier but that's just how he is.
"w-well it's really nice to meet both of you. but excuse me for a second." i said before going into the kitchen to look for a specific tray. i could hear uraraka-san and hagakure-san laugh after one of the two said something, i couldn't tell with shouto-kun though. i found what i was looking for and came back with two all might themed cupcakes.
"here, th-this one's on us." i said as cheerfully as i could. i think hagakure-san lit up but i couldn't really tell, shouto-kun on the other hand smiled.
"i loved all might while growing up. he's always been my favorite. are you sure about this though?" he asked, his voice was smooth and calm. i could tell that my face had lit up because i could see uraraka-san with a smug face out of the corner of my eye.
"yeah, of course! and i really liked all might growing up too." i said, clearly enthusiastic. shouto-kun gave a little exhale as a chuckle before biting into part of the cupcake. i could tell hagakure-san had too, as there were bite marks in her cupcake.
"wow deku-kun! these are really good!" hagakure commented, her mouth a bit full.
"thanks, but i think uraraka-san made this batch." i said before looking over to her, as she smiled proudly. shouto-kun nodded simply.
"i'll be sure to give you all something in return." he said before finishing off what he had, hagakure-san had been done for a minute or two.
"oh, no need! it's all in good first impressions." uraraka-san protested but todoroki shook his head before putting up his hand as to stop her.
"i insist, it wouldn't be a good first impression without returning the favor." he said in response. this seemed to have persuaded her just fine as she shrugged.
"i guess there's no resisting." she commented.
"well, it was so nice to talk but we should go. we still have things we need to do, right todoroki?" hagakure-san said, before turning to him, as if she needed approval.
"yes, she's right. if we don't get everything sorted out soon that leaves us less time to talk more." shouto-kun agreed with a nod before turning after hagakure-san to leave. he waved on his way out and i'm sure hagakure-san did too. the small bell rung as they left and the door shut. uraraka-san sighed before resting her cheeks in her hands, elbows on the counter.
"i hope you know that those cupcakes were for a kids birthday tomorrow," she said before looking over at me, "and if we can't use that one, i'm making you bake the next batch."
"ah, i'm sorry uraraka-san!"
"serves you right, deku-kun."
