it's so good to see todoroki-kun happy. this honestly seems like the happiest he's been in awhile. ever since we bought that little shop he even hugged me for the first time in years! today was the day to set things up, we'd have to set up shelves and arrangements just for the place to look nice before anything else. it was definitely going to be busywork but at least it may be enjoyable. there were boxes of vases and such ordered and brought to the shop. it was a lot more convenient. plus, he convinced me to walk to the shop with him instead of taking another way, like bus probably.
"hey, todoroki-kun?" i asked looking over to him, although it would be hard to tell. he gave me a hum as a response but i took what i could.
"are you as excited as i am? y'know to start our own business?" i asked, the energy now clear. he chuckled and looked over at me, he usually knows where i am as he's been able to pick it up for awhile. if you're friends with an invisible girl that's what happens.
"of course i'm glad to be doing floristry, with the support of fuyumi and mom too." he scratched the back of his head before stopping. it hadn't clicked that we arrived so i was confused when he stopped, then it hit me. i smiled as i took a step or two back to look at the building.
"i love it already!" i squeaked before patting my pockets, if i brought the key.
"i've got it." todoroki-kun said as he took a key from his pocket and approached the door. i sighed as he unlocked the building, but also turned around to see who'd be across from us, since things are kinda spaced out on this block. it was a cute little bakery, the sign said: Alter-Egos! The Sweet Side of Heroes. i chuckled because a hero themed bakery sounded cute to me. the windows on the outside of the store were big, like ours almost. there was a girl inside, kinda short with brown hair setting up a display. that's what i thought she was doing anyways. the sound of a bell chimes and i turned back around to see todoroki-kun with the door open, and coughing.
"that's a lot," another cough, "of dust."
"woah, are you okay?" i ask, going up the small step that led to the door, there was room since we was in the doorway. he simply nodded before coughing into his sleeve for the last time.
"looks like we gotta clean a little, it wasn't this dusty when we first checked it out." i said, as he and i both went inside and let the door shut behind us.
"that's 'cause they clean it when clients come through, otherwise they let it collect dust and collapse." he said going to the wood and ceramic topped counter.
"oh, but still. we got a lot of work to-do so let's get to it!" i said cheerfully, trying to encourage him. todoroki-kun looked over and smiled.
"yeah, let's get it."
