There was a time skip to the night Mike and El reunited.

Mike POV

I stood ready to defend myself as me and everyone else listened for the sound of demodogs. There was something out there, we just didn't know what. 

We all jumped as a demodog came crashing through the window. Hopper walked up to the demodog and nudged it with his boot. It was dead. Thank God. 

I heard the lock on the front door being undone. I turned around to see who was unlocking the door, and I noticed that it was being unlocked all by itself. No. It can't be. She's gone. 

I watched as the door slowly opened. Eleven walked through the threshold. I can't believe it. She was back. 

Eleven was home. 

Y/N POV

I watched as Mike slowly walked towards Eleven and took her in his arms. They started to whisper to each other, but I couldn't hear what they were saying. All I could hear was what I thought sounded like '353 days' coming from El, but that was it. 

I noticed that everything seemed to happen in slow motion. Hopper and Eleven started to talk, and Mike started to shove Hopper. Then I noticed Mike and Hopper walking into another room. It all felt so unreal. She was back? Eleven was really back? 

I walked over to Eleven and gave her a hug. 

"I missed you, Y/n." She squeezed me tighter and it started to feel like I couldn't breathe. 

"I missed you too, El." I told her. 

"It's Jane." She said. I broke away from her but remained standing where I was. I was really confused. Jane?

"What?" I asked her. Before she could answer me, Dustin and Lucas had come over. They were giving El a hug as I slipped back to where Max was standing. 

"Is that...?" Max asked me. I nodded my head and Max's eyes went wide.  She walked up to Eleven to meet her, but El brushed past her like she was garbage. I raised my eyebrows and watched as El then walked across the room to hug Joyce. 

"What was that about?" I asked Max. Lucas and Dustin seemed just as confused.

"I don't know." Max looked slightly hurt, but mostly confused, just like everyone else. 

That was when it hit me. Eleven was back. She was really back. Mike was going to be with her now, and there's was nothing I could do to change that. Not that I really wanted to, I guess. I mean, they were perfect for each other. They obviously loved each other, and they should be together. I guess I just wanted Mike to feel the same way about me.

-- Time Skip (about an hour later) --

After Joyce, Nancy, Jonathan, and Will all left to try and get the Mind Flayer out of Will, it was time for Eleven to go too. 

The rest of us walked out onto the porch as Hopper warmed up the car and Mike and her said goodbye. Suddenly, they were leaning closer together, and my heart started to beat super fast. Were they going to kiss?

I could feel my throat closing up and my eyelids began to feel heavy. Just as the distance between them was about to close, Hopper called for El. It was time for them to go. I snapped back into reality as Eleven ran to the truck.

We all watched as El and Hopper left, and I could tell that Mike was really worried. He looked like he was about to cry. He really didn't want to lose her again. 

I could feel the tears start to come up, and I ran back inside while everyone else watched them pull out of the driveway.
