Chapter 3: Comic Con Day 1

So the beach deal almost worked out perfectly, except for Mother Nature cock blocking him with a wave. He's determined though that he will get the courage to kiss her kiss her. Waiting on the carpet to take pictures, the cast is lined up in pairs. Luckily for Norman, he's lined up with Emily. A great deal of getting close, and no one will suspect a thing.

She goes first. Giving a hand on the hip smile and a broad shoulder smolder. Finally Norman steps on giving a small suited smile and a few waves. Changing camera sets and glowering eyes. It comes to his favorite part. The partner pictures.

Acting like they didn't just hang out for hours, he approaches her with a hand on her hip, the other below her arm pit and a kiss on the cheek. She smiles and he goes in for a hug. Typical celebrity pictures. He wishes for once he could full on kiss her. Scoop her up. Hold her passionately. And then just continue off camera somewhere. Giving her a hug he makes his move.

"How bout we meet in my room. Tonight. Room 409."

"When?" She whispers back with a genuine smile.

"Ditch the party at 9:30?"

"You got it. I'll bring the ice cream." They laugh and go back to pictures until summoned away.

They walk around the symposium and try to course their paths so they meet up every so often. Signing autographs and meeting people, Emily can't help but think about tonight. What is it going to be? A date? A meeting? Just hanging out? She wishes she knew what they were. Or what they could be.

The night drags on as they go to a party at some fancy club, neither really care about. It's the prestigious party, always the first night. Then afterwards, everyone goes to the fun party at a real night club. But not for Norman. No. He dipped out early so he can go freshen up in his room. He told the other's he had a slight head and left. They understood. At 9, Emily left saying she didn't feel well. This is true. Her stomach had been turning all evening since Norman invited her to his room.

In the elevator she fixes her hair and then darts to her room. What were they even planning on doing? He couldn't want anything more from her than support of a friend. She grabs a quick shower, blow dries her hair, and runs to the clothes she has put up in the closet.

Grabbing a sexy red strapless dress, Emily slips it on with her sexiest bra and thing underneath. She slips on her black high heels and decides she's ready to go. She grabs The Notebook and heads out the door.

In Norman's room, he is frantically lighting candles he ordered at the front desk. He turns on some slow classical music on the stereo and looks at his outfit. He loses the tie, fixes his hair, and reapplies his cologne. He makes sure the champagne is cool in it's bucket of ice and he checks on the ice cream in the freezer.

His heart is thumping out if his chest and he doesn't know if he's doing the right thing or moving too fast.

Outside his door, Emily is pacing back and forth. Deciding how she should approach this. Finally she decides to lean against the door frame with one hand on her popped hip and her one arm up the door frame, holding the movie.

Norman hears a knock at the door and opens it without looking through the peep whole. When his eyes fall on Emily's he can't help but look her up and down. She stands up straight and his mouth is on the floor. From head to toe, she looks sexier than anyone he's ever seen before.

"Co... come on in." He ushers her in and she sets the movie on the table. Looking around she realizes that he did mean it to be something more than a movie and ice cream on the couch. She can't help blushing at the whole thing. Beautiful music, wonderful candles, and the whole atmosphere of the suite. "You look beautiful, Em."
