Nina: Fabian?
She knocked three times on his door.
Nina: May… may I come in?
She heard him breathing loud and heavy.
Fabian: Come in.
Nina had teary eyes. She never thought she’d be so afraid of someone who meant the world to her. She was determined to bring him back to who he was, more than anything else.
Fabian: What do you want?
She took him by his shirt, making him stand up, and kissed him. As they separated, Fabian looked into her eyes. Those beautiful eyes he loved. He had teary eyes now.
Fabian: I’m sorry.
Nina hugged him. She knew after what happened, Fabian hadn’t been the same.
Nina: I understand.
Fabian sat down on his bed, looking at the floor.
Nina: They won’t stop until she dies, right?
Fabian shook his head.
Fabian: No.
Nina sighed nervously.
Nina: What’s that supposed to mean? Is it what… has you so… well… frightened?
Fabian nodded.
Fabian: After Joy dies… they’ll come again…
Nina: Why? Why would they come back? Unless…
Fabian: They made a mistake, Nina.
Nina looked at him. He was still looking at the floor. There was a silence. She was waiting for him to be ready to explain.
Fabian: Joy isn’t the one they were looking for.
Nina gasped.
Nina: Then why did they take her? Why?
Fabian: I’m quite sure… they don’t know what they’re looking for.
Nina: What’s that supposed to mean?
Fabian: There’s a certain person that can make them immortal, but, no one knows who that is. It could be anyone of us.
Nina: So, you’re telling me that apart from being all of us in danger, Joy’s probably going to die without even being the one?
Fabian: It makes me so mad, the fact that an innocent will die. Because of their stupid desires.
Fabian hit his bed. Nina sat beside him.
Nina: Calm down, okay? We can still reverse it, and let Joy live.
Fabian: I’m afraid that…
He stood up, once again, and walked from side to side.
Nina: Afraid that…?
Fabian: If they don’t know who they need, they’ll keep grabbing people until they find it.
Nina: Are they… planning to kill us all?
Fabian: If they have to… probably yes.

Joy was sitting peacefully in the living room. It was time everyone got back to the house. She planned on telling Patricia and Jerome about the mysterious girl and the note. She hadn’t read it, thinking, it’d be better if she read it along with them. Alfie and Amber were the first ones to arrive.
