House of Anubis: Downhearted

Chapter 10 - The ring

Joy was walking around the Anubis house. After Nina told everyone, through her letter, that Eddie had placed a spell on the house so they’d be safe, Joy was allowed to walk near the house, at least for some minutes, to get fresh air. She was walking near Jerome’s and Alfie’s room, when she stepped on something. Some crumpled paper balls.

Joy: Were these thrown out of the window?

There were 3 of them still legible to read, the others that Joy found were all crumbling because of the rain the last few days. She took them, sat down on the grass and read peacefully.

Nina: So, what’s the plan?

Fabian: Since we must look after the Mask, we must do this in less than 2 days.

Eddie: So, we’ll go to the school, into the principal’s office, to look up for information?

Nina: How are we getting in without being noticed? Also, there must be cameras or so.

Eddie: We’ll dress up as students, easy. The principal doesn’t know us, so he won’t know that we’re us.

Fabian: Unless if he got something to do with the Secret Society, they might have warned him.

Nina: He must be part of them.

Eddie: Then placing the spell on us would be enough to at least get into his office.

Fabian: We’ve got a plan. Let’s pray it ends up well.

Mara: Do we have everything to do this?

Everyone nodded. They all knew what they had to do and were anxious to give the plan a go.

Willow and Mara ran out of the school to cut off the electricity, as Amber would create chaos inside the school. Jerome, Patricia and Alfie would go inside Mr. Friedman’s office, and find those files and anything else they find useful.

Willow: Operation  “Get the principal” is on.

Willow and Mara lowered the power switch. They stuck it with some cables, making it look as if it got stuck due to a technical failure. Amber inside, seeing the lights gone, started screaming. Every other student in the room started panicking, as Mr. Friedman hear the whole thing.

Mr. Friedman: What’s going on now.

He got out of his office, and ran into the scene.

Mr. Friedman: Everyone calm down, it’s just an electrical blackout.

Willow and Mara ran inside the school, to join Amber in her scene.

Mara: They better hurry and find everything they need.

Fabian: Look at the electrical box.

The saw all of the cables releasing flares.

Nina: What do you think is happening?

Eddie: I’m thinking someone’s got a plan before we did.

Fabian smiled, thinking it was the Anubis residents behind it.

Nina: What do we do now?

Fabian: I say we let them work, and wait for them back in the house.

Nina swallowed.

Nina: We’re… getting into the… house?

Eddie had a smile from ear to ear. He’d be able to see Patricia. He’d be able to hug her, talk to her, ask her how she’s doing and tell her how much he’s missed her. Nina screamed excited.
