Izzy wakes up the next morning by herself in Jack's bed. She sits up and looks around, wondering where Jack is. She doesn't remember Jack being there when she fell asleep. She gets up and puts on her cloak.
Jack opens the door and walks in. "Oh, I didn't think you'd be awake."
"Where were you?"
Jack grins, "Why? Did you miss me?"
This throws Izzy off a bit. "No, you- you just weren't here this morning and I don't remember you coming in last night."
"I fell asleep upstairs, so I didn't come down last night."
"That's why you didn't wake me this morning?"
"It was. I came down to get you up. There are clothes for you to patch. Don't worry they're already clean."
Izzy nods and walks over to him. "Are you ready?"
Izzy nods again. "Use your words."
"Yes, I'm ready." She tells him.
"Good, let's go." He says opening the door. Izzy follows him and he leads her up a floor and into a small room. "There are the clothes that need mending. You don't have to stay in here to do that, you can come up on deck if you'd like."
Izzy looks into the room and sees a small window, giving her just enough light. "No, I think I'll stay down here."
Jack nods. "Okay, I'll come get you after a while, you don't have to spend all day doing this."
"Okay," Izzy says nodding. She goes into the room and grabs what she needs as Jack leaves. Once she has what she needs she sits on the floor and gets comfortable. She starts on the rather large pile of clothes and she's a bit thankful. Having nothing to do on the ship had her bored out of her mind. She'd rather have something to do than nothing.

"How's it going in here?" Jack asks walking into the room. Izzy looks up at him. "How are you doing?"
"I'm fine."
"Good. Do you want to stop and take a break for breakfast?"
"No, I'd rather stay here and work on these," she tells him.
"It wasn't really a question. Take a break and get something to eat."
Izzy sets everything to the side and gets up. She doesn't want to but doesn't have a choice. Jack leads her up to a room where the captain is sitting, waiting for them. "You found her."
"Yes father, right where I left her. Almost had to drag her away."
Izzy shifts uncomfortably under the captain's stare and Jack's words. "Good, good. Both of you, come sit and eat while we still have good food."
"Good food?" Izzy asks quietly, as Jack guides her to her seat.
"You haven't told her?" the captain asks.
"No," Jack says sitting down next to Izzy. "I've been busy telling her other things."
"I suppose there are a lot of things you need to know to be on a ship." The captain agrees.
"What about food?" Izzy asks. Food is something she needs, even if she doesn't want it. Jack makes sure she gets it, she wants to know if there's something wrong with it.
"Food only stays good for so long," Jack tells her. "So eat it up now because it won't be this good later."
"Oh," She says quietly.
Jack hands her food and she takes it. As much as she's not hungry. She wants to eat while she can. Eating with the captain makes her nervous. She never did like being watched, regardless of what she was doing.
