I tossed and turned, not able to sleep. I got up from my bed, put a robe on and walked out into the hallway. I had so much on my mind, I couldn't concentrate on sleeping. I made my way to the kitchen and ever so gently, I pushed open the back door, making sure to pause, so I can hear if I woke somebody up.

There was a lot of pros in living at the Vigilant Pack's house, but one of it's cons, were that every body who is somebody knew your business. You had to be very careful and sneaky to get some alone time.

I squeezed through the door and gently closed it behind me. The cool night air greeted me, as I took in a deep breath, and released it.

I walked out into the yard, the grass feeling wet beneath my feet. It was quiet and peaceful. I looked back towards the Pack's house, didn't look like anyone was coming after me, to drag me back inside.

Without a second thought, I quickly changed, shedding my human skin and turning into my glorious wolf.

Soon after I turned, I started running. Faster and faster, letting the wind cut through my light brown fur. I wasn't your biggest wolf or your strongest. But I was fast, very fast. I lowered my head, gaining more speed. I bobbed and weaved through the trees, like a flash of lighting. I jumped over logs, and splash landed in puddles, my paws feeling the cool sensation of the water.

"Just what I needed, a run."

I kept on running until I realized I was almost close to the Silver Moon Pack's territory line. I started to slow down and then I came to a halt, just inchs away from the line.

We had strict orders to still obey the terriorty laws, until the wedding was finalized. Didn't want a simple mistake to cause war, ending the union between our packs.

I flopped down onto the grass, not knowing what to do next. My heart was still racing from the run. I rested my head on my paw, closing my eyes. When I heard a rustling  sound behind me. My ears immediately perked up, I turned to the sound and watched as a black wolf emerged from the bushes.

Kyle.

"How did you know, I was out here?" I questioned him, through our mind link.

I got up from my spot and meeted him halfway. I nuzzled my nose into his neck and he did the same to me.

" I saw you outside, from my bedroom window," He answered.

"I wonder who else saw me?" I thought to myself. See what I mean that one, has to be very careful and sneaky.

"Are you okay? You couldn't sleep?"

I shook my head no before answering, "I couldn't sleep."

Kyle frowned, nudged me with his nose, before licking my cheek.

I blushed. Kyle was such a sweetheart, always so caring and tentative to my needs. It's a shame I couldn't be with him, just yet.

I walked back to the spot, I was just at and flopped back down. Kyle followed me and did the same. Instead of resting my head on my paw, I rested on Kyle's back.

We laid there in silence for a few minutes.

"Do you want to talk about, what's going on with this marriage business?" Kyle asked.

I sighed and lifted my head up from his back. "Uh oh here we go."

"Talk about what?" I asked, innocently. I knew he was fishing for an explanation on why I agreed to marry Zack.
