Ten.

I stare at the box as i sit on my bed, in awe.

Theres a lot of things, including pictures of me, other tiny boxes and more.

But a letter catches my eye first. It says, 'Read first!'.

I slowly open the letter and read it.

Dear Y/N,
I've become soft now. All because of you. It's strange being the hated one and then finding a friend.
Nobody wants to talk to me, except you. Y/N, thank you for being with me when nobody else ever is.
If you ever need me, I'll always be there. But for now, let's stay frenemies.
Happy birthday!

This guy made me sensitive for once.

I pick up a grey kitten plushie, with a tag on its collar that says, 'A kitten for my kitten!'.

This guy is smart.

I shuffle through all his gifts one by one, each one being interesting on its own. Then I spot a book labeled, 'Diary'.

I flutter all the pages of the thin notebook, seeing that it was already written till the end.

I open up the first page and read the date.
This was all the way back in his 5th grade. Dang.

My fingers hold the page as I read it carefully.

Dear diary,
My name is Park Jimin and I study 5th grade. I've written all this down so that I can express my feelings in some or the other way.
I joined this schools other branch, ever since kindergarten. I made a friend named Jeon Jeongguk. He's really nice and he's very cute.
There's a new kid, too. His name was Kim Taehyung. I went and talked to him first and we became friends. He's a nice guy too. I hope we become better friends in the future!

I read the entries after and found another interesting one.

Dear diary,
Baekhyun told me that Taehyung was gay. I asked him and he said yes. I was devastated when he said he fell in love with Jeongguk.
The two have had a fight and they got together again. But they aren't dating, which is good news. I feel a little sad for Tae, who's girlfriend broke up with him. I got really angry though, and spread my anger to Jeongguk and Taehyung. They both are staying away from me now.
I have no friends. Will my days get better, diary?

I continue reading his daily entries. There weren't many, and soon enough I reached the pages which I was most anxious to read.

The day when I joined school.

Dear diary,
Today, this girl joined school. Her name is Kang Y/N. She seems nice but she's a real devil. She always thinks she's the best at everything and it's getting annoying. She's beating me in everything. I dislike her. A lot.
I'll show her who's boss soon. Let her be happy for now. You won't see this coming, Kang.

Dear diary,
Me and Kang talked in the alley. I tried to lure her but Joomin's crew got there too. They beat us up. Joomin warned me too. About the money. I've been spending it on Y/N to buy her gifts and banana milk. She's happy and that's all I need.
Joomin threatened mom too. Dad is beating me up like frick. Diary, I want to die. But Y/N is completing my existence. Completing it, and destroying it at the same time. What do I do?
