Chaper 35

Betty's PoV

Once we got to pops we sat in a booth and looked at the menu. "Okay so I remember you saying tuna now makes you sick so is there anything else I should not order so you don't get sick?" "That's very sweet of you JB but really it's fine you Order what you want Okay" I relied. God I hope she doesn't order tuna.

"Jughead?" Jellybean asked jughead as If for him to tell her what makes me sick so she doesn't order it because she knows me to well. "Tuna, sweet corn, red cheese, peppers, tomatoes, brown bread, any type of fish, anything that comes from a cow or a pig apart from bacon. She's obsessed with bacon right now. Oh and what ever you do don't order anything that has pesto or salami on it" even just hearing the words makes me feel queasy. I close eyes and try to think of something else.

"You okay betts?" "Yeah fine, just even the words makes me feel sick. Don't get pregnant jellybean it sucks" "not planing on it anytime soon" "thank god" jughead whispers so that no one's hears him but I did so I gave him a little nudge and he just smiled at me sheepishly.

We order our food and jughead has his usual and jellybean ordered a chicken burger and sweet potato fries with of course one of pops famous shakes. As for me I ordered a chicken sandwich with 2 extra positions of bacon. I don't know what it is but I can't get enough bacon. I'm scared if I eat many more this baby will come out as a piece of bacon. Soon our food arrives we tuck in and no one hardly spoke, we were all so hungry!

"Okay I have to ask...how the hell did you get this one to sing! To the baby?" Jellybean asked me I just shrugged my shoulders and said "he's just the sweetest" in a baby voice and jughead rolls his eyes at me. After we got home from pops we were all sat in the living room with a hot drink jug and JB had black coffee and I had a green tea. We'd been home about 3 hours and I was extremely tired I could barley keep my eyes open.

"Betts why don't you go to bed? You can't keep your eyes open" Jug said to me, I was leaning my head on his lap while he was stroking my hair and talking to JB. "I'm not *yarns* tried I'm wide awake" "Betty you've not even got your eyes open, go on I'll make sure my brother gets to bed okay" "you sure you guys don't mind me going to bed?" I asked sitting up. "Go on Juliet" I give him a very tried smile and kiss and hug JB goodnight but just before I go up the stairs my phone rings.

Jugheads PoV

"Hello? Betty speaking" I wonder who's calling her at this time? "Look I said you were welcome to come" *pause* "no I never said that and besides he's a grown man!"  *pause*  "wow you kiss your mother with that mouth?"  *pause*  "Oh,my god you selfish cow! It's his day not yours!  *pause* "well you would know if you'd actually bothered to stick around" I look at Jellybean and she was slumping further down the sofa more and more and looked angry. What the hell is going on? "No! No don't you dare bring Fp into this! He's done nothing wrong!"  *pause* but this was a long pause and I could see Betty getting upset "call my mother a serpent slut again and see what happens! I dare you!"  *pause* "Fine!"

"Betts? What's wrong?!" "I guess we're setting another place at the table tomorrow..." "You've got to be kidding me?! She can't be serious!" Jellybean said and Betty just nodded with tears falling down her eyes. I get up and rush to her pull her into my embrace. "Who was on the Phone baby?" "...Gladys, your mum" "what?!" "She's coming down for you birthday..." "Betty? What did she say to you?" Jelly bean asked softly "she said usual but then she brought up Fp and my mum and...she said that it was fps and my mum fault she left and stayed away. Then she called my mum some horrible stuff and that she was a serpent slut...just like me" "wait she called you that?" I asked getting angry "it's fine Jug, I'm gonna go to bed. Night guys" and with that she was gone. 

"Jellybean why was she calling Betty?" "She blames Alice for her and dad breaking up. She hates Alice and when Betty phoned and spoke to her she ripped into her...just like I did and I told her stop but she wouldn't, after she hung up I phone Betty back told her it wasn't true And that I was sorry..." she said looking down. "Did she believe you?" "Yeah she did and then after a few more heated calls here I am. She loves you jughead. Like when dad loved Alice we both how much he loved her" "I know. I love her too..." "can I ask you something? Sister to brother?" "Yeah Course what's up?" I asked slightly worried. "Why haven't you asked her to marry you?"

"I was going to once. Had the ring and everything..." "then why didn't you?" "...I was about to get down on one knee...we were at this fancy restaurant...then both our phones rang say that the trailer was on fire...sweet pea called me and Veronica called Betty. They both said that they couldn't find dad or Alice...when we got there Betty ran to the back of the trailer and found dad but before I could go after her Alice ran up to me and asked where they where. I heard Betty and dad shout Alice and ask where she was but it sounded like they were in the trailer so Alice ran in before I could stop her....a few minutes later dad and Betty came running round she asked me where Alice was and I just looked at the trailer and she shot off running towards it but dad stoped her and said he'd get her. By now I had my arms around her waist, she's screaming for her mum and Fp. I had tears falling down my eyes..." I told my sister with a few tears falling down my face. "The fire crew put out the fire and it had only burned down the front of the trailer but dad and Alice didn't make and that day a part of both of us died with them and I haven't been able to ask her again.." "Your scared if you do you'll someone else you love?" "Yeah, yeah I can't lose anymore people I love jellybean. I mean for sake I lost my daughter, my dad...and it's all chics fault!" "Jug?" "Yeah?" "You don't blame Betty do you? For bringing him back?" "No of I don't! I love her and there was no way she could of known that this was going to happen but she blames herself, she thinks I don't know but I do and now her baby-" "jughead! It's not 'her' baby or 'Betty's' baby if your going to be this amazing father to it like Betty is always saying to me then you need to start calling our baby and maybe once in a while my baby. Jughead she is so scared and worried" "why?" "Jughead...? She was raped by her own brother and is now pregnant with a baby that isn't the love of her life's...she's scared it going to get to much for you and you'll leave" "I'd never leave her! I love her to much!" "Then you need to reassure her of that and with mum coming tomorrow she's going to need you. Mum doesn't know about the baby I haven't told her and she doesn't know about the attacks or that the fire was started by chic so please for the love of god stand by Betty and if need be put mum in her place. I know you find it hard to stand up to her but Betty needs you"

"I know she does and Ive got her back 110% and I'm sick of mum! She's the one that left so why should I be the one to back down!" "That's my brother" I just smile at her. She was right Betty is the love of my life and she is pregnant with a child that is the out come of a sick, sick brother and I'm it's father, nothing is going to change that!

"Come on big bro sleepy time" "haha alright come on" once we get up stairs I hug my sister good night and go into our room to find Betty on my side of the bed wrapped up my t-shirt and her mums serpent jacket around her. "Oh Betts"
