"They can't do that!" Said Michael as he was shoving pizza down his throat.
"I'm pretty sure they can," Ashton handed him multiple napkins so he could clean up the mess his green haired friend had made. "Besides, this is Luke we're talking about." Luke rolled his eyes and took a sip out of his juice box.
"You know, for someone who acts and looks like a complete bad ass, I'd never expect you to be drinking out of a juice box." Calum furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head. It was almost as if Luke disappointed him.
"Shut up, at least I'm not the one who slept with 12 different girls this week!" Luke spat back at him while finishing up his juice box. Calum just slumped over the lunch table and mumbled as few words to himself.
"Guys we're getting off topic here." Despite the fact that Calum did like to sleep around, and that Luke was a total 5 year old at heart, Ashton actually wanted to get to the bottom of this.
"Right." Luke shook his head, trying to remember the events that had happened.
"So, basically they just said they were going to transfer you into some AP classes as a punishment for beating up some kid?" Michael said, with pizza crammed in the back of his throat. Michael loved pizza, it didn't matter where he was, or how he was feeling. Pizza made everything better.
"Yeah," Luke watched Ashton wipe Pizza off Michael's face because apparently he couldn't do it himself, "personally, I don't think it's a punishment. I actually like school."
Even though everyone was terrified of Luke, the way he dressed, how he acted (which mostly involved the color black and beating people up) they never payed attention to the real him (the one that lived deep, deep, deep down inside him). They always just assumed he was scary and intimidating when really he's just a 5 year old in a candy store.
Calum laughed. "Again, why does everyone think your a bad ass?" He shook his head and continued laughing to himself, Luke brushed him off.
"When do you start?" Ashton ran a hand through his hair, catching every dirty blonde lock in between his fingers.
"Tomorrow." Luke said as he scrunched up the juice box.
"Have you told Adrianna yet?"
"No, not yet." Luke wasn't even planning on telling Adriana until now, and that scared him. He worried that she would be upset with him. He didn't want that, not now. Especially not when their two month anniversary was coming up.
"Man, she's gonna kill you.." Calum chuckled, "especially since you beat up some kid for her."
It's not like Luke meant for any of this to happen, the kid was saying things about Adrianna and Luke ended up fighting him. It wasn't a long fight, once the kid took a shot the the head he was out.
Instead of Luke getting suspended the teachers decided to put him in AP classes, which sounds stupid, but that's just how the school works.
"Yeah I know" Luke sighed and propped his feet on the table. He knew exactly how Adriana was going to act, she would tell him she could take care of herself and didn't want him 'protecting' her. And he would tell her that he loved her and everything would work out. That's just how things were with them.
"Speaking of Adrianna," Michael smirked, "have you two buried the one-eyed worm?" Ashton choked on his food.
"Have we what?" Luke asked.
"You know, baked the cookies? Turned the butter?" Calum was laughing like crazy. Luke furrowed his eyebrows and Michael rolled his eyes.
"Have you had sex yet?" Michael finally asked.
"Oh.. Yeah, well, no.. Not exactly."
"What do you mean not exactly?" Michael enjoyed getting involved with his friends sex lives. That's just how he was. There was this one time when Ashton finally lost his virginity Michael started texting him right after him and the girl were finished.
"I mean not exactly. We were almost going to but stuff happened.."
"Stuff?" Michael asked.
"Yes! Stuff. Now stop asking." Luke rolled his eyes and his phone began ringing. He moved away from the table so he could answer.
"Hello?"
"Luke.." It was Adriana. She was home sick the whole week and tried her best to talk to Luke when she could.
"Hi baby girl." He smiled
"Can you come over..?" She asked, her voice cracking and barley audible. Luke began to panic.
"Yeah of course, now? Are you okay?" Adriana began sobbing and that's when Luke knew she didn't have to answer back.
"I'll be right there.." He hung up the phone and gathered his things.
"Where are you going?" Ashton looked at Luke as if he was crazy.
"Adrianna needs me. I'll see you tomorrow"
"What?! You're just skipping school-" Michael cut Ashton off.
"It's alright Luke, we'll cover for you." Michael smiled as Luke have him a thumbs up because he understood. Luke didn't care what he was doing, if Adrianna needed him and he would drop everything and go to her.
He loved her.
