Tom Holland Imagines

Please, Forgive me

~A/n: This takes place in the 1800s were Tom plays a guy named Henry and Y/n plays the character Elizabeth. Hope you like this imagine and thanks for reading it ! xoxo This imagine will be in third person.~

Her red dress spun in twirls as she ran down the grassy dune towards the rocky beach. The man racing after her was coming up quickly, and she had to hurry. She ran to a boat that was tied around a small rock. The waves crashed harshly against the shoreline and thunder crackled in the sky. She saw him above the grassy dune as he raced over to her, grabbing the small boat just as she was paddling out to sea.

"Elizabeth stop this, now!" he cried.

"No!" She shouted back at him.

"Elizabeth, please! Don't do this!" he begged her.

"This is my life, Henry! I can choose what I want of it!" She struggled hard to paddle away from him, but his grip and strength was no match for hers. Henry jumped onto the boat and picked her up, bridle style and brought her back to shore. She squirmed and hit him, trying to get free of his grip, but it was no use.

"Let go of me, Henry!" she squirmed. He brought her on top of the grassy dune, and set her down.

"Elizabeth, you cannot marry that man." he said to her.

"Why not?" she asked, standing up now. The storm was getting worse and thunder was crackling even more.

"He is not right for you! He . . .. he is a cruel man. A man that no one should have to suffer with."

"Henry, you put me in this position! It's your fault that I have to marry him! And I cannot back out of it now." She said with tears in her eyes. The rain began to fall now and the wind was picking up. He ran his fingers through his hair looking out at the stormy sea, then back at her.

"Elizabeth, I'm so sorry. I know I made a mistake, but I won't make it again. That's why I'm here." He walked toward her and took her hand, but she swiped her hand away from him. He swallowed hard, his heart breaking at the thought of not even being able to take her hand.

"Nothing can change my mind." she said sternly. Her  wavy hair flew around her as she stood there.

"Elizabeth, I love you." he said, his voice cracking.

"What?" she asked, surprised.

"I loved you then, I love you now, and I will forever. And I cannot bare it. Because I know now that I will never have you as my wife." 

"Henry . . ." she quivered.

"But, please . . .let me live in peace that I may know that you do not take that man as your husband."

"Henry . . .I"

"Promise me!" He stared at her with intense eyes, waiting for her response.

"I would but I don't have a choice this time." she cried.

" . . .Alright," he said painfully. The rain poured down hard, drenching both of them. The waves continued to crash against the shoreline and dark clouds were above them. They ran to take cover under a curved rock that was atop a dune. The rock was big so it kept the rain off them. Elizabeth pulled her knees close to her chest and started to cry.

"Henry, I'm sorry. I wish it didn't have to end this way." she said.

"But it doesn't," he said moving closer to her. "Just come home with me. Marry me." he said, looking longingly at her.

"Henry, it's not that easy! I can't just run away from my problems." she exclaimed.

"Do you not . . .. love me?" he asked, his heart heavy.

"I . . .I did, once. Before you . . ."

"Elizabeth, you know that was NOT me! She tricked me!" He started. "I . . .I wish I could go back in time so that I might erase the past."

"You cannot get rid of the past, Henry."

"But if I could . . .then we could be together. And you wouldn't have to marry that man." He clenched his fists with anger. Elizabeth took her cold fingers and wrapped them around Henry's hands.

"But . . .since I will never see you again," he started to say. "Shall we grant ourselves to each other? So that I may go into the darkness knowing that I . . .I once tasted heaven." He asked. There was a pause for a long while until the space between them was soon filled. Filled with a kiss that would stay with them forever.
