~A/n: Hello, loves! Sorry it's been awhile since I've updated but you're gonna really enjoy this story! It was not written by me but by an amazing author "purple_raspberry123"! She has so much talent and I highly recommend you go follow her :) Welp, I hope you enjoy this story and tell me what you think in the comments!~

You swept vigorously, trying to get the last bit of broken glass safely out of the way. Sweeping them into a corner where they'd be hidden until you found a dustpan, you set the broom aside and straightened. Stretching your arms above your head, you sighed and looked at the shards of glass. You had dropped the glass trying to reach the mugs at the top of their kitchen cabinets, one of the things you had been told NOT to do because of the common knowledge that you were not the most graceful creature on earth. There was a fleeting shadow in the kitchen, so fast your eye didn't catch it. The water in the cup on the counter trembled, and then nothing.

Satisfied you could walk around barefoot again, you grinned and drank the cup of water. You made your way to the closet to get the dustpan and hummed under your breath. Sweeping up the pieces, you considered calling Peter and asking him to bring home good old cheesy New York pizza. You thought about it for about two seconds then grabbed your phone. Suddenly agonizing pain shot to every end of your body, radiating from your stomach. You yelped and dropped the phone. Burning knives of white-hot pain stabbed you repeatedly in the stomach. Gasping and shuddering, you held onto the counter for dear life.

"What... what is going on?!" You gasped for air, every stab of pain driving the breath out of your lungs. "Ah!" You shrieked as the pain magnified. You felt your knees go weak. The door to the apartment opened and Peter walked in carrying a pizza.

"Hey babe I felt like pizza on the way home so—" He stopped short as his trained eyes took in the entirety of the situation. The shards of glass in the corner, the fallen broom, and his beautiful girlfriend leaning on the counter, shaking. "Y/N!" He dashed over to you, flinging the pizza on the counter and cupping your cheeks in his hands, gently turning your face towards him. "Talk to me, baby. What's going on?" He fought to keep his voice calm as he read your eyes for any sign of emotion. "The broken glass, are you hurt?" You shook her head.

"I don't... I don't know..." You struggled with the words, trying to speak over the pain. The pain abruptly eased and you straightened hesitantly. Another sharp pain wracked your body. You gasped and doubled over. "Something's wrong Peter, I don't know why, but it hurts so bad." You felt his grip on your arms tighten.

"Ok... ok... talk to me, why do you think something is wrong?" You heard the tremble in his own voice.

"I don't know! I was sweeping up the glass and then I was going to call you and then all of a sudden it felt like knives in my gut." You trembled. "I—oh my gosh. The water. I thought I saw something!"

"What water? What did you see?" Peter was frantic now. He knew that his enemies knew that the "famous Spiderman" was dating someone, and that made you a perfect target, a blow to you but aimed at him.

"There was... there was something that I thought was maybe just a shadow, barely more than a sense of something briefly in the kitchen. I don't—AGH!" You screamed as another jolt of pain seized your body.

"We're going to the hospital right now, ok? It's gonna be fine." Peter whisked you up into his arms and ran out the door, carrying you as if you weighed nothing. Ignoring common sense, Peter leapt over the railing of the apartment stairs, shooting a web to slow the landing.
