Day 8 • Abbie

11:29 A.M.

The next morning, I woke up to keys rattling. I pretty much ignored it and drifted off to sleep. A few minutes later, James' door creaks.

James hops up

"WHAT THE!!! MOM!?!"

His mom looks confused as hell and looks at me with my short shorts and oversized hoodie.

She laughs. "You must be Abbie"

She knows my name?

"James talks about you all the time"

I smile and I see James' blush.

I can tell she is the mother who just says whatever comes to her find because suddenly she blurts out:
"I always knew you two were a thing, but I didn't know you guys got this serious" she smirks

My eyes widen in embarrassment.

"James just let me stay over. My dad has been a little upset lately."

She looks at a bruise on my neck.

"James... my sweet angel now gives hickeys?!?"

She laughs

"I just got hurt" I say laughing along.

Little does she know that the bruise came from someone who I adore so much. Well used to.

She walks out to give us peace and I love her already. I wish she can be my mom. Then that would be weird though. James would be my brother hahahah.

James is so much like his mom. He is so innocent yet when it comes to his feelings for me he's so cocky in the cutest way and I love him for it.

2:07 P.M.

Jade texted me.

"Hey so what happened yesterday after I left?" I asked

"Um nothing. I gtg"

Hmm that's weird. She loves texting. I wonder what's up with her.

As soon as I got home I texted James saying how much fun I had at his place. He agreed and said I can stay over whenever I like. Would his mom even allow that? She seemed to like me, but it could've been an act. She's probably yelling at James to get someone better than me and carry on with his perfect life and if he did that I don't even know what I would do. All I know is I wouldn't be able to move on for years.

That's what I hate about myself. I can't move on quickly.

Chris's voice rang in my head. "You moved on in 4 minutes!"
