Sebastian.

The room was filled with every member of the Ernesto family as a little party was taking place for one of its members.

It felt great somehow to see everyone dressed up nicely for once in their lives. I could tell this sort of formal arrangement was nonexistent until tonight.

"Hey there fella!"

I jerked my head towards Rosa, she looked radiant in her bright yellow dress.

"Hello Ros. Having a great time?"

She smiled at me. "Yes I am having a great time Sebastian all thanks to you!"

I love her smile and I have made her a promise to always make her happy even if it will cost me mine.

Rosa waved me goodbye and I took a glass of wine from one of the servers and drank from it.

"Hello Sir."

I felt a little ting of embarrassment at her choice of address, but she wouldn't stop Calling me Sir even though I had told her not to.

"Beautiful dress you have on Tanya." I couldn't help but compliment her outfit. "And I must appraise you, that hairdo is just superb."

Tanya managed to smile a little at my compliment. Since the day Amara left, she had stopped being the lively woman she once was. At least that was what all the girls say.

" Nice wine Sir! I bet this will bring you a fortune when it hits the market."

"Well, I just want to please the people, the gain is not my primary objective Tanya."

"You are so full of chivalry, yet you couldn't save a poor girl from herself. How ironic!"

I knew where this conversation was headed and I didn't want to walk that route, especially not with Tanya.

"Let's dance to this beautiful tune Tanya. What do you think?"

She just shrugged. "Whatever you want sir Sebastian.".

As we twirled around in the room and simply enjoyed the cool music, I heard her sigh deeply.

"Anything the problem?"

"Tell me something Sebastian, what are you going to do when your late father's customers come looking for their supplies? Surely they'll get tired of all these wine."

"I will tell them what they need to know Tanya, my father is out of business and I can't deal with whatever he had going on here."

"And you think that answer is going to satisfy them?"

"Tanya, I don't care whether they listen or not. I ain't doing that business my father got involved in and that's it."

"Fine then." She grabbed my glass of wine." I'll go finish this in my room, have a great night Sir. "

As I watched her leave, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and it was a call I needed to take.

"Hello, this is 2:30am in the morning, do you have a good reason for Calling by this time?"

"This is important Sir, something terrible has happened. Amara and her husband have been shot, Bob didn't make it. He died on the spot."

My head felt like all the organs in it had stopped functioning.

"Where is Amara?" I whispered into the phone because I didn't want anyone to know just yet.

"She's at the hospital, her life may be in danger because of the baby.".

"Text me the name of the hospital, I'll be there in no time."

I didn't even wait for her reply and I was dashing out of the crowded room and heading straight to my car.

Amara

I open my eyes and the first face I saw was Tanya's. I thought I had died but then I remember that Tanya was still alive and kicking.

"Hey" she called out lowly.

"Hi Tanya. How you doing?"

My reply seem to have amused her because she was smiling softly and I was looking on in confusion.

"Girl, you come out of coma after three months and you ask me how I am doing?"

That struck a cord and I began to remember everything that happened that dreadful night.

"Where's Bob?" I asked hysterically and at the same time I looked at my deflated belly.

"Where's my baby Tanya? Fucking tell me!!!"

Tanya just held me tight as I cried my eyes out, I had lost my baby and my husband because of some shit I knew nothing about.
