I woke up in a large white room with nothing in it. Where am I? Am I dead? I leaned against the white patted walls and slid down. My head was in my hands, "Ava?" I picked my head up to my heart falling. "Mom? You're dead?" Tears started to fall from my eyes, she sat next to me. She put her cold hands on my face.
"No, we're dead"
"W...What?"
"I'm not going to leave you again"
I shook my head like I was crazy.
"Why did you leave in the first place?!" I scream and got on my feet. "Why?" She got up and looked in my eye.
"Because..."
"Come on, Ava! Breathe!" I heard screaming and I woke up in a different room from last time. "Dad?" My eyes were blurry and I could barely see his face. "She's up!" He screamed and two doctors rushed in the room. Just one more minute and I would have found the answer to my question. The question I've been wanting to hear for years.
"She's dead" he knew exactly who I was talking about. "How... how do you know?" His voice was shaken, "I just do." It soon rushed through my brain, my mom is head. When did this happen? How did it happen? Why didn't I know until now? Why do I care so much after she left? Tears escaped my eyes, "Why?" Escaped my lips, "can I have a moment alone with Ava?" I saw Ethan standing by the door with his eyes red. "Sure" he kissed my forehead and headed out the room. Ethan slowly entered the room and sat next to me, "I'm sorry" was the first words he said. "I'm the one who should be sorry" he put his hand on mine, "I was the one who found you on the floor, you were dead, A."
Was I actually? Does that mean... "don't cry" he knew what I was thinking. "I saw her, Ethan, I saw her." His eyes widened and his face softened. I was staring at the wall, "she's dead."
