Virgo's POV

I end the call and quickly throw on jeans and a sweatshirt. I grab my keys and phone and run outside of the apartment.

I almost trip over my own feet as I run down the stairs, but I get down and get into my car.

The sky is dark and there are few people out. I could hardly see where I'm going as I drive through the lightless street. At least six of those lights aren't working, and it's not helping, especially since I'm rushing.

I get there and go inside. Panting, I reach the counter. "Scorpio, please." I say breathlessly.

"Who are you?" She says, casually flipping through the pages.

"Virgo. I'm Scorpio's.. umm,"

"You're not allowed in unless you're family."

"I know. I was gonna say wife." I lie. I'm not good at lying. I never lie. But when it comes to my friends... What am I supposed to do?

"Room 671, first floor, Ma'am."

"Thank you." I stand up straight and walk to his room.

When I reach the room, I consider knocking. But what does it matter if I'm gonna go in anyways?

I twist the knob and open the door. I put my hand to my mouth, sustaining any tears. He is lying there with his eyes closed, hooked up to every machine and monitor.

I pull up a chair and sit next to him. I take his hand in mine and let out a breath I didn't know I'd been holding. Because what else am I supposed to do?

I sit there for five minutes, when I feel him stir. My head shoots up and I stare at him with wide eyes. His eyes open less than an inch.

"Scorpio?" I say, with too much excitement in my voice.

He lets out a little murmur of pain.

"Im so glad you're okay. Oh my gosh, what even happened?!"

He groans.

I hold back my tears once again, biting my lip.

He pulls his hand away. I didn't even realize that I was still holding it.

"Should I call anyone?"

He slowly shakes his head.

I sit there for ten more minutes before he opens his eyes all the way.

"What happened?" I whisper.

"Accident.." he says, his voice scratchy. He raises his hand and puts it on his neck. "C-car.."

"Were you drunk!?" My eyes flood with worry.

"Does.. it..m matter?"

"Yes! You used to be an alcoholic. You're not supposed to drink too much. Scorpio. Were you drunk?"

"It was... Only.. two drinks.." he closes his eyes for a few seconds, then opens, turning his head to watch my expression.

I stand up with anger. "How many times have I told you to get help?!"

"I was sober... For a year.."

"And you broke it a year after that."

"Can you not-" he clears his throat. "Can you not give me a lecture? I'm lying in a hospital bed." His voice is still scratchy but at least he can make full sentences.

"I wouldn't have to give you a lecture if you took care of yourself!"

"Oh, look who's talking. You think that just because nobody knows other than me, it makes you suitable to talk to me like I'm less than you? No. Your problem. Your problem was worse."

"We don't talk about that anymore. I got help. All I want for you is to take care of yourself. Just get help, Scorpio! Look at you! You're in a hospital bed! You could-" I grit my teeth, trying not to cry for the third time. "You could have died. And if you don't watch out, you might."

"I don't need you to tell me what I need and what I don't. I can take care of myself! And unless you want your little secret revealed, little miss perfect, you would keep your mouth shut. Now I would storm out of here angrily, but since I can't, you can go."

"Scorpio!"

"You can go." He says throatily.

I shake my head, walking out.

When I get in my car, I begin crying hysterically. I slam my hand on the wheel, and hold my fist in my other hand. It's not fair. Nothing is.
