Aries POV

Once I get home from Gemini's house, I shower. The hot water takes me over and my music is extremely loud. I can't be alone. I guess it's a fear. Maybe it's just because I need someone with me always. It was always Gemini.

We used to stay up all night talking, or we would stay up all night doing things that regular friends wouldn't do. We were friends.. with benefits. And they were really good benefits. Why? Well, first off, I'm a guy, so that should be something obvious. Second off, she's so beautiful and her voice is so soothing. Her smile is so contagious. She's always there for me. She's someone different... In a good way. It wasn't just friends with benefits. We talked too. It wasn't all sex. I sort of considered her my girlfriend.. but it was a label that we hadn't officially agreed on and it wasn't a public situation either, sooo.

I sat in my car for ten minutes outside her house. I expected her to come running back and tell me it was a mistake and that she still wanted me. That she made a mistake. That she didn't need a commitment right now. That she would be mine for just a little longer.

She never did.

I step out of the shower and wrap my towel around my waist. I dry off and change, then I lie down in bed, music ringing in my ears.

You laugh at all the jokes.. even the ones you know. Funny, I'm doing that too...

I reach over to my nightstand and grab my phone.

I erase the message. I can't send that. I can't be clingy. It was a no attachments thing. I have to get over it.

I put my phone back and stare at the ceiling till I fall asleep.

Ophiuchus POV
I haven't slept in a week. Well, actually it hasn't been a week. It's been 2 days. I've been thinking about the fact that I am my own house. And today, I'm going back to the Academy and I'm nervous. Partly because I have my own house and partly because I'm staying in Libra which is also Daniel's house and we haven't seen each other or really talked since I blew him off... so I feel like it's going to be awkward.

I push the thoughts away. Right now, my whole focus should be on how I'm going to handle this House business, not on Daniel.

I change into a marroon sweatshirt and black jeans. I'm trying to go unnoticed today, so dark colors seems the best. I put my hood on so that my eyes are not visible if I put my head down. I put sneakers on and leave the house.

I'm walking to class when I am stopped in my tracks. "Ophiuchus!"

I turn to the voice to see Leo. He said my name like if someone heard him, they would know the secret about me having 'my own house.'

"Yes sir?"

"Follow me." He says a little more quietly.

A few people who are still in the hallway steal glances as if looking over will give them information of why I'm going to his office. I ignore the people who are hurrying away, trying to show that they are good students who go to class on time.

I follow him and keep my sweaty hands around my backpack straps.

"Have a seat.." he begins. "I'm going to explain what this situation is, now that I've figured it out."

"Okay." I say, sitting down. I keep my hands glued to the straps.

"Have you ever heard the myth of Ophiuchus, the 13th house?"

"Yes..." I have a feeling I know where this is going.

"Well, it's not a myth. Not anymore. Because you're the 13th house... Meaning you belong to no house. Now, we have a couple choices now. We can keep you in whichever House you choose. However, you don't belong in one of those houses, so people may suspect what's going on and the education may not be satisfying to you because it's not where you belong. That's one option. You can leave the academy. I don't want you to, because this is your education that you might be losing over something you can't control. That is your second option. Your final option is... Well, you can lead a new house here. You can take a few days to choose unless you know what you want to do."

"Wow.. this is... Wow."

"Yes, I know, it's a lot... Which is why I'm giving you multiple options and time to think. I'm sorry to have to put this on you at such a young age."

"I mean.. no problem, I guess."

I sit awkwardly for a few minutes. "Umm can I go?" I ask later. He nods quickly and scribbles something down on a piece of paper, hands it to me, and dismisses me. I walk out with my late note in my hand.
