Lillie carefully made her way through Lush Jungle, making sure not to step on any of the beautiful flowers blooming everywhere. The recent rain had transformed the forest from its usual brown and green colors to a vast array of reds, yellows, whites, and blues.

The blonde girl noticed that a lot of Pokémon were out and about, trying to gather all the nectar they could before the flowers wilted again. For a moment, she got distracted by a swarm of Cutiefly, before remembering the reason she was combing through the gigantic forest.

Her classmate Mallow hadn't shown up in school today without any notice, something completely unlike her. Concerned, Lillie and her classmates Ash, Lana, Sophocles, and Kiawe had at first called Mallow's parents, who had assured them Mallow was on her way to the Pokémon school. However, as Mallow still hadn't shown up after half an hour of waiting, they all had decided to spread out and look for the green-haired girl.

Lana was searching on Melemele Island, while Sophocles had decided to investigate Ula-ula Island. Ash and Kiawe scrutinized Poni Island and its enormous canyon, leaving Lillie to look on Akala Island. At first glance, it had seemed like a daunting task, but Lillie had enlisted the help of island kahuna Olivia. They had divided the island, with Olivia checking in the southern part, while Lillie checked the northern part.

It was an obvious choice to look for Mallow in Lush Jungle first, for it was Mallow's favorite place in all of Alola. Lillie was sure her friend knew everything the forest had to offer, from where to find the tastiest berries to where to spot the rarest of Pokémon. She, on the other hand, had only ever really looked at Lush Jungle on a map and thus had to rely on her Pokémon partner for guidance.

Snowy, the Alolan Vulpix that had hatched from its egg just a few months ago, trotted ahead of her, stopping every now and then to sniff at one of the massive trees. Lillie assumed Snowy was trying to pick up on the distinct scent of Mago berries that always lingered around Mallow, but she wasn't sure.

For just a moment, her thoughts drifted to how nice Mallow smelled. The blonde blushed and shook away her thoughts just in time, for she almost stumbled over a root right in front of her.

All of a sudden, Snowy called out, "Pix! Vulpix!" and then bolted off deeper into the forest. "Snowy, wait up!" Lillie exclaimed and began to run after her partner. The foliage became denser and denser, causing Lillie to have to shove aside twigs and branches.

Eventually, she stumbled onto a clearing in the jungle. There was a small pond in the middle of it, which seemed to be the home of a small group of Poliwag. As Lillie approached, they cautiously eyed her every move. The blonde wasn't interested in them, however.

Snowy stood a small distance away from the pond, another Pokémon lying next to it on the ground. "That's a Steenee, right Snowy?" Lillie asked as she knelt down to examine the Pokémon. Its breathing was ragged and it could barely keep its eyes open. Snowy nodded eagerly.

Although Lillie was unable to touch any Pokémon other than Snowy, she wanted to become a Pokémon doctor one day and so she had read countless books on the different types of wounds and illnesses, and how best to treat them. Luckily, this wasn't a very tricky case.

"You've battled way too much!" Lillie told the Steenee as she rummaged through her bag. After a bit of searching, she pulled out a Sitrus berry. "Here, this will help," she smiled at the Steenee, holding the berry in front of her. Weakly, the Steenee nibbled away at the berry, regaining its strength with every bite.

At once, the Steenee leaped up on its feet. "Steenee, Steenee! Stee!" it then shouted with a worried expression. "I don't understand..." Lillie admitted, "What is it you want to tell me?"
