Going Back to School (Arthit)

It feels like it was a lifetime ago that I was last here. Actually we're all here. We asked permission for a field trip. Technically the only ones who needed to be here are Knott, Bright, Prem, and me but it's not fair to make the others stay cooped up at the mansion, that's the size of a mall.

I've never been to the facility of art before. I remember when Toota told us he was taking the art class, we all thought he was crazy. How on earth was he going to complete his courses for our program AND take and extra class? Well we quickly found out that he intended to only have to do one fifth of the work. He was so sure that we would help him. Of course he was right, we all pitched in.

We must look out of place because people keep staring at us. It would be great if we have any idea where to go. Then I see it. A girl making her way towards us. She's beautiful and confident and staring right at Kongpob. Truth be told, the years have been more than kind to him. He was handsome back in college but now he's so much more. Of course he's still gorgeous and he has that easy smile that draws everyone in. His body has filled out because he had been working out. Seriously his body is like a work of art that was perfectly sculpted. Then there's the air of confidence that he gives off, it attracts everything to him.

"100 baht says she goes right up to Kong." May whispers behind me.

"Who'd be foolish enough to take that bet?" Oak argues.

"I would." P'Dan says.

"I have 100 on my nong here." He wagers placing his hand on my shoulder.

"Oh you're on! You're so gonna lose." Oak says pulling out a bill.

Behind us they're placing bets about who this girl will approach and all I can do is shake my head at them. When she reaches us she scans the crowd looking at Kongpob before putting on a large and beautiful smile. She walks in his direction, accompanied by a few hissing yeses. He smiles down at her because he is always polite. She gives him a strange look before walking past him and standing in front of....

Oak.

I know my mouth is hanging open. I'm pretty sure all of our mouths are as we watch her tuck her hair behind her ear and smile. Even Maprang is watching in confusion and she's engaged to the guy.

"Is there anything I can help you with Pii?" She asks sweetly.

We all watch completely dumbfounded by this situation.

"Do you mean me?" He asks pointing to himself.

"Of course I mean you. You guys look lost, what room are you looking for?" She asks only paying attention to him.

"Graphic art." He tells her.

"Of course. I'll show you the way." She says hooking her arm in his and pulling him along.

That's when Maprang woke up from her trance and took action.

"Excuse me." She says unhooking the girls' arm from Oak's.

"I don't know what you're up to but this man is mine." She says.

"Seriously? He's....with you?" She questions pointing between the two.

"That's more like it." Oak mumbles.

"Wow, he's so out of your league." She says with a straight face.

I choke on air as those words leave her mouth. She shakes her head as she leads us to the classroom we need to go to. She waits for a moment before approaching Oak again.

"Pii, here's my number if you ever decide you want to trade up." She says then walks off.

"Oh, I'm gonna kick her ass." Maprang announces as she's being held back by May and Prae.
