I can see that he's upset. He keeps walking back and forth berating himself for being so stupid. I do the only thing I know to do, I put my arms around him and hold him tightly. He struggles at first but then he relaxes in my hold.

"I can't believe I just let them go." He says sounding frustrated.

"Don't feel bad, we all watched it for a few minutes before trying to find it." I try to comfort.

"Truthfully Pii, it wouldn't have mattered if you were here when it started. It's remote controlled and although they have to be close they don't have to be here to start it." Maprang tells us.

"How would you know that Maprang?" I ask.

"Please, I'm practically married to the biggest nerd of all time, how would I not know about this?" She says like that explains everything.

"I'm telling Oak you called him a nerd." I tease.

"Pshh, as if he doesn't already know that." She laughs as she playfully pushes my arm.

"I'm happy that you guys can joke around at a time like this." P'Arthit says looking very annoyed at us.

Maprang looks down as she walks away while I feel wronged.

"Pii. That's not fair." I complain.

"None of this if fair! It's not fair to us or our friends. It's certainly not fair to the six girls that died because of some crazy people!" He yells.

I know he's mad and frustrated and I know he's venting but at the same time I feel angry too, so I walk away. I head back to the crime scene where Maprang is back at work. She looks upset and I can't blame her. I offer her an apology which she accepts with a half smile.

"No matter how angry you are at me you can't leave like that again. Do you understand me?" P'Arthit practically growls beside me.

I turn and look at him. The glare he's giving me tells me he's past angry and onto something much worse. I take a deep breath and blow it out quickly.

"I'll go wait in the car." I say as I storm off.

"KONGPOB! Get back here!" He demands rather loudly.

More than a couple of people are now looking at us. Normally I would listen to him. Normally I would go back and sulk beside him no matter how angry I was with him, but not this time. Today I'm feeling spiteful so I head to the car, my security is next to me. I actually forgot about him, well now I can relax. I close my eyes as I lean against the car.

"You could actually go sit inside." My escort says.

"Then he would get angrier. This way he can still see me." I explain.

"How?" he asks.

"What do you mean how?" I ask.

"I don't see him, so how can he see you?" He expounds.

I look at the scene and really study the faces of everyone there. He's right, I don't see him either. Would he have gone to check the other buildings? Maprang said the remote would have to be nearby. My Pii is very smart, he would have connected this too. I try to calmly walk back to the scene but my heart is racing too fast so I move faster.

I'm starting to panic as I search for him. My first move is to go back to the roof, I practically sprint to the building. I rip open the door and run up skipping most of the steps on my climb. When I get to the roof he's not here. No one is. I turn when I hear the door slam behind me. I go back and pull on the door only to find that it's locked.
