I wake up slowly and open my eyes, still confused from what happened. I reach carefully out next to myself to find an empty space at the place Elena is supposed to be. I sit up quickly, flinching from the sudden movement. My body feeling as if it's been thrown off a high building. I look dazzled around, wondering where she could be as I remember Rebekah's thread.. The words resound through my mind. ''Maybe I'll kill Elena.'' I shudder at the thought she might have come to get her. I slip out of bed and make my way downstairs. No sign of Elena. I grab a blood bag from the fridge and bite the cap off, quickly downing the blood. I throw the empty bag in the bin next to the sink and walk into the living room. I lie down on the couch, waiting for Elena to come home as I drift off again.
