I walk into the Salvatore Boarding house and walk upstairs to go to my room. I frown as I don't see Elena and sigh. She probably went home. I walk back downstairs and go outside, walking to her house. It was nice to be able to be outside again without having to worry about the fact that I could drop dead somewhere any second. I open the door and walk into Elena's house, closing it again behind myself. I walk upstairs, walking straight into her room. A second, blonde person is lying next to her in the bed. I smile a little, apparently Caroline stayed the night. I walk to her side of the bed, carefully pick her up and walk downstairs with her. I lie her down on the couch and put a blanket over her before walking back upstairs. I slip out of my clothes and lie down next to Elena. I wrap my arms around her and close my eyes, slowly drifting off. I was back where I belonged.
