3 years later.
New Haven, Connecticut.
Yale University.
I flipped over my bed so my head was upside down and stared at the wall.
Blank.
White.
Nothing.
Maeve rolled on my chair over to me.
"Bronwyn Rojas," She said my name like how Robin used to years ago in the Simon investigation. "What the hell are you doing?"
"Nothing, Maeve. Nothing." I respond.
During the investigation about Simon's 'murder' all those years ago, once Nate was released from prison,
He found out something he never told me.
He'd gotten a full scholarship to University of Connecticut.
Although I was pissed at him at first for not telling me for so long,
I was happy.
Nate seemed different.
He thought he was never going to go to college.
He moved up here and went to U CONN, but he wasn't as happy as he used to be.
I kinda figured college would be too much for him to handle.
But he insisted on going.
And his mother didn't even have to convince him.
My phone rang as Maeve picked it up.
Maeve goes to Yale, she is a freshman.
"Incoming call from-" She pauses at the name. "Cooper."
"Cooper?! I haven't spoken to him since Addy's party in senior year. What does he want?" I ask.
"Beats me, Bronwyn," She says, getting up from the chair and walking over to me. "Just see what he has to say."
She hands me the phone.
I flip myself over on the bed so I'm facing upwards.
My glasses fly off my face and fall to the ground.
Maeve picks them up, I press accept.
She hands me my glasses before I say,
"Hello?"
