Life is a puzzle.

It had pieces: hundreds of them.

It's complicated.

It takes many tries,

and many more tries,

and you get tired.

And,

most importantly,

the pieces NEVER fit together.

Now,

There I was,

sitting there,

in an interrogation room so small I could hardly breathe.

Hot tears slid down my cheeks.

I took my glasses off and wiped my tears away.

Then I continued to cry.

"Bronwyn, I understand you're upset, but you need to tell us what we need to know."

The police officer said.

I sniffed and looked back up.

I was getting so fed up with this.

The anger boiled in my veins.

"What the hell do you want from me? I was unconscious when all this happened. I got shot, remember?" I ask.

"Of course, but you must know something. You were there during the time frame of the arson, which makes you a suspect."

"What do you think I did? Ran to the bathroom, sprayed gasoline everywhere, then lit a match, then shot myself to cover it up?"

The police officers towards each other awkwardly.

"Oh my god." I say, getting up.

I ran out of the interrogation room.

I heard them following  me.

"Ms. Rojas! Ms. Rojas!"

I turned back around in frustration.

"What?!"

They all looked at each other again.

Then one of them got a message through their walkie talkie.

"Guys, we need to go." Officer 2 says.

"why?" Officer 3 asks.

"Cooper Clay was arrested for murder." Officer 2 answers.

"We will continue this interrogation later, Ms. Rojas!" Officer 1 yells back to me as they run out.

I turn back around.

Cooper.

Was.

Arrested?!

Who did he kill?

Did he even kill this person.

I took my phone out.

My wet tears were dripping on it.

I picked up the phone as I sobbed.

"Ad-ad-addy?" I ask.
