C H A P T E R 10

Nere's POV

The overpowering presence of the Headmaster immediately shut all of our chatterings as soon as he stepped on that stage with his icy gaze lingering on both me and Ana. His beautiful hue of emerald remained on me and Ana before shifting to all the other first years.

"I'm glad all of you could make it especially all you first years for not taking this a joke and actually take it seriously because if worst comes to worse and you do not comply with my orders and decide to spread about this then chances are you would be dead by now."

All the first years faces turned pale except for a certain few, Leah looked as if her soul is leaving her body. Ana just stood still and watched the other students till her gaze landed on a certain fellow that is in a group of students to the left of us which I presumed to be the second years. I followed Ana's gaze and saw what she was looking at, it was a boy that is quite tall, has pale brown hair neatly groomed and with a carefree smile on his smile which just weirded me out. He is practically oozing out calm and relaxed...

"You see that guy Nere?"

I nodded

"Just by looking at him I sense a great danger that is hidden beneath that facade he has on if I were to compare it was as if he is giving  warning to anyone that can sense this danger."

"Or you are just looking into things too deeply Ana, he might just be a harmless guy that is just too kind for his own good."

Ana sighed and we turned back to the Headmaster as he was about to talk again.

"So I welcome all of you first year into the True School Program!'

Few claps of applause could be heard throughout the Hall but it died down soon as the Headmaster raised his hand to resume his talking.

"So as you all know this program is specially made to hone your skills for killing and assassination, use your talents for the greater good and eliminate those crimes syndicates that continue their criminal doings. You are chosen because you have potential in this field and you have experienced before...For some at least. Moving on, shall we put our hands together for Arson Juggerton,  the Jack of Diamonds!"
