C H A P T E R 12

Nere's POV

I stood there together with Ana and Arson while the other students left to go on with their classes. Surprising enough, Arellia didn't take over which is good...I guess.

"Will you both be alright? I can wait for you two outside the hall and we can go to class together."

I smiled, " I don't want to burden you Leah, right Ana?"

Ana nodded before looking at Leah.

"No no, it's fine. I'll be waiting outside then"

"Alright then."

We watched as Leah walked away towards the Hall doors. With a cough from the Headmaster, we turned around and paid attention to what he wanted to say.

"Okay, so I held you three back because I believe you two have strengths that are unrivaled in your batch of first years considering that you are the Twin Reapers so-"

"Wait what?! T-They are the Twin Reapers?! One of the most infamous killers that are feared by tons of crime organizations! Heck, even Quantum is scared to recruit someone of your repertoire."

Arson interrupted the Headmaster as he looks at us bewildered. did our reputation grow that much? I only knew tons of people have a bounty on us since we are known as an 'obstacle' to the crime organizations but whatever.

"Ahem, as I was saying, I want you two to join the Commandments."

"Explain more Headmaster"

I nodded as this piqued my interest, I thought there was only the Royals but there is another group that Ana nor I am not made aware of? On the other hand, Arson just smiled and kept looking at us with this sort of weird twinkle in his eyes as if we were a unique specimen.

"The Commandments true purpose is to create aides. Aides for what you ask? Well the Commandments is 10 people who become the Aides of the Royals and they are chosen by me, and if you are an aide to one of the Royals you have a spot for joining the Royals but it also is based which rank you become the aide of. Currently, there are only two Commandments which are the aides of  Third and Fourth rank. The higher the rank of the Royal that you aide, the better chance you have to join. Skills come into play here and you need to maintain good kill points, your skills must also be top-notch. So now then would you two like to join the Co-"

"I refuse."

"Nope"

The Headmaster shook his head and sighed, "Guess you won't even spare a second thought huh. Why do you not want to join though?"

Arson stood there with shock present on his face as he also awaited the answer for that, but I stayed quiet and allowed Ana to speak and explain since we both refused due to the same reason.

"First things first Headmaster, us Twin Reapers we didn't join to become aides of someone. Second of all, what's the point? It's better for us to not because who knows what Arelliamight do if she awakens again. Third of all, We are more than capable enough to secure a rank of the Royals by ourselves without the help of the guaranteed spot when you join the Commandments. Lastly, you don't order us around on what to do."

I smiled and look at them as I released a fair amount of bloodlust while Ana just gave them her signature glare that shuts anyone up almost instantly and it did wonders on those two with the fusion of my bloodlust. Arson was taken aback at my bloodlust but this is only a small amount I mean what do you expect I've killed countless people let it be Arellia or me we both have our fair share of killings it's not as if I was forced to this and if Ana and I were to call ourselves the twin Reapers then this is the least we can show on how much experience we had.

The Headmaster raised his eyebrow at us while at the same time Ana came up beside me and with a spark, I thought of a splendid idea. The atmosphere in the Hall turned ominous as Arson took a defensive stance due to him being an assassin and being able to detect the slightest change while the Headmaster just stood still, nothing to be surprised of there, he is the Andrew Langlois. So, I decided to do what I had thought of in my head that will for sure stir them up.

With a monotonous voice and the bloodlust combined, I said, "I can take one of the Royals in a duel so come at me or if you want to see what I'm capable of why don't we have a duel, Arson Juggerton. I wager my life for your rank."
