I've decided that this book will have 14 chapters, maybe a sequel in the future, but this novel will have 14 chapters in total.
Now this number does have some significance.
Avery Carter became Avery Carter-Wayne at 14 years old.
I figured this number would be a good symbolism for Avery's life, since this story has a lot to do with character development and internal change, and it took 14 years in total for Avery to change completely yet again.
She went from the shy scholarship student in Gotham Academy to the proud woman we see in chapters 11-14, and that change took 14 years in total.
I hope that made sense, I'm not the best at explanations.
