Chapter 8: The way she used to be

{Lapis Apartment}
It was 8:50 pm , Jasper and I were arguing about Jasper's car and how her "dealer" wasn't fixing the problem at all. I told her to calm down and that we'll solve the problem together, but that just made it worse. She got more mad and raised her voice all brute and high. "If you not gonna help me then I'll just leave!" Jasper yelled then grabs her keys and left, slamming the door behind her. Now it's dead quiet and I'm all by myself again. I sat down on a chair. I'm getting tired of this, it's like a loop with her every time. First, she's my sweet and really nice girlfriend then before you know it, the slightest thing that makes her mad, turns her into a monster or a ticking bomb waiting to explode at any moment. I sighed and went upstairs to my bedroom and lay on my bed with a few tears coming down my cheek, still thinking about Jasper. She wasn't always like this. Not might seem like it but she was really nice. She treated me like a princess. I loved her so much, but now that she's acting like this I'm just really confused and having mixed feelings about her. I'm not even sure how I started to feel this way about her. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure how she ended up like this? How we ended up like this? What could've made her so angry at me? Feeling my eyes getting heavy I slowly fell asleep.

[Lapis dream]

I was near my locker surround by two jock boys. They were annoying and getting to close to me, "Oh come on. Don't tell me you don't want to join our little party? It'll be fun." One boy said but I pushed away from me. "I already told you guys so many times I'm not interested nor do I want to go to your fucken party." I walked away but the other boy gripped onto my wrist tightly and twisting it a bit. "Hey let me go!" I yelled at him. "Come on don't be difficult. Just come to to join us." These guys are getting on my nerves, "If they don't let me go I'll-" he pulled me closer towards him twisting my wrist even harder, "You'll what? Huh?" They had a stupid grin on their faces, "Leave me alone!" That's it I'm not gonna have this bullshit. Right when I was about to say another thing at them someone cut me off, "She says to leave her alone!" A tall brute with blonde hair and birth markings on her face stepped forward. The guys look scared of her but didn't want to let go, "Listen here. We're just having a nice talk. Don't butt in!" He said still gripping onto my hand. It seems she took notice of it, "Doesn't seem like a nice talk. Let her go right now." She said with a low of a growl and glares at the two guys who seemed to be more afraid of her but still refuses to listen, "Tch-" the guys seem to be irritated by her being in the middle, "WHY DONT-!" Before he can finish I suddenly see him flying off and letting go of my arm. She just punched him and it sensed him off all the way to the end of the hall! His buddy looked at him with shock, "You wanna fly to buddy?" He then got scared off by her and picked up his friend, "Let's get outta here!" They both ran off and was left alone with this girl. I look up at her and she sighed cracking her knuckles, "Those two aren't from even here." She noticed I was staring at her and she gave me the warmest smile that sends me blushing, "Are you okay? Those guys were being jerks to you." She had different colored eyes and she looked hot. She held my arm up gently and touched my bruise, I flinched in pain for a bit, that guy gave me a purple bruise. She looks sadden at me, "I'm sorry that they hurt you. Let's go take you to the nurse and try to put an ice pack on it and explain everything." She left me speechless but I managed to nod in response, "Y-yeah." I said softly. She suddenly picked me up bridal style, surprising lifting me up like air. I blushed deep, "Y-you didn't need to do this! I can w-walk fine on my own!" She chuckles and softly stares at me in my eyes, "After what you've been through, I think it's okay to say you deserve to be carried with care." I just stared at her as she walks down the hall carrying me like nothing and ignoring the people that we passed by. "My name is Jasper by the way." In my eyes, she sparkling and shining, like a prince. "Lapis." That was all I could stutter out. She laughs, "Nice to meet you Lapis." She's hot and really cute! I smiled feeling safe in her arms.

After what seems like years, we've just been with each other all the time, as if we were meant to be together. Like it used to be. She'd take me to places that I never knew we had at Beach City. She'd always make me laugh, have our romantic moments, always text me before we go to sleep saying how much she loved me and how she wants to be with me no matter what, talking all night. I remember I would always blush when she send me cute messages with hearts. Until she started to slip away. Something snapped in her because of that day. There was a boy in our class who I used to hangout. He was nice, cute and charming. He would joke-flirt with me and I would play along. I already told him I was dating someone and he was understanding with that, he just enjoys talking to someone who knows and likes the same stuff I do. I never really had a guy friend that likes the same stuff as I do so I happy around him. Until Jasper saw us together and completely got the wrong idea. She started to fight with him, yelling and shoving him away from him. I kept telling her that he was just a friend from class, but she didn't listen to me and shoved me away hitting the lockers with my back and falling to the ground. She turned around knowing what she did and I looked up at her with aback. She yelled at the boy once more telling him to stay away from me and picked me up walking out of the school. I yelled at to let me go but she refuses and kept on walking. That's when I saw that she wasn't the same as before. I shoved my hand away from her and she looks back at me with anger. The face she made at me send terror and chills down my spine, at that moment she looked at me the first thought that came to my mind was to leave her. She instantly looked sad at me and said sorry to me so many times and hugged me close to her. I wanted to leave her. I really do. But I couldn't-I couldn't leave her. I loved her too much and I believed she loved me too. I hugged her back telling her calming words, "We're gonna be okay. We can fix this." I can fix this. But that was just a lie I told myself to not lose this feeling.
