Chapter 2: Awake

Y/n pov:

They only thing you could see were flickering lights in the darkness, the sound of metal crashing against metal and a screeching sound before you felt a hard clap on your head. The world was turning and the darkness was covering you like a thick blanket. The last thing you heard was your voice calling out for you sister Mina. Then your eyes opened and you were blinded by a white light. You were looking at the ceiling and saw a light shining bright. You heard someone fall besides you what made you turn your gaze to the side. There you saw Yoongi laying on the ground next to his chair.
"Yoongi, what happened?" you ask him confused trying to make sense of the place where you were "Where am I?"
"You and Mina were in a car accident." He replied getting up from the floor.
"Where is Mina?" You ask him. But he kept quiet and looked at the ground. "No" you tremble "No, tell me it isn't true" you beg him " Yoongi tell me she is okay, tell me she is laying somewhere around here."
"I am sorry Y/n." He says broken.
Your breath hitched in your throat and the only thing you could do was stare into the empty space infront of you. You tried to recall what happen but the only thing you could remember from the accident was darkness. Then the tears came streaming down your cheeks. The door opened and revealed an handsome doctor. He smiled and walked towards you with a small smile.
"Hello  I am doctor Kim." He introduced himself. "Do you mind if I do a few tests?"
"euhm no go ahead." You say still progressing the heart wrenching news of your sisters dead. Then the door opened again. There in the doorway was your brother and a tall attractive man both with red puffy eyes. The good-looking man his eyes widened when he saw you awake, he dropped his coffee and ran towards you.
"Y/n I am so happy you're awake." He says sobbing.
"I am sorry, but do I know you?" I ask him moving away from him
"I am Namjoon."
"That doesn't ring a bell." I tell him
"We are engaged Y/n, please tell me you are joking with me right now." He says confused
"Can I ask what the last thing is you remember Miss park?" the doctor askes you.
"I left mine brothers engagement party with my sister." You tell him like it is the most obvious thing in the world
"Y/n our engagement party was more than three years ago." Jimin says shocked.
"No it isn't. what date is it?" You ask disordered.
"It is the 15th of May in 2020.
"What?" You opened your mouth in shock "Isn't it 2017?"
"No." Yoongi replies. You looked at the man who called himself Namjoon, he was starring into the distance like he just got punched really hard in the face. You felt sorry for the guy you just met but apparently planned to build a future with.
"I am sorry to cut this reunion short, but I would like to examine Miss Park. Would you guys mind waiting outside in the waiting room?" Doctor Kim asks them.
"No problem." Yoongi says pulling Namjoon up and guiding him towards the door with Jimin following suit.
