Chapter 18: Call To Plans

Cody's POV
"I came as fast I could." I said as Patrick let me in his house and I walked in. "Sorry if I came late."

"I don't know what your talking about. Lance told me to call you over." Patrick said and I blinked.

"You didn't need me?" I asked and Patrick snorted.

"Why would I need you? Anyway Lance should be here soon." Patrick said taking a seat on the couch and waved me over.

"What does Lance want?" I asked taking a seat in a chair opposite of him.

"No idea." Patrick shrugged while grabbing a remote. "I was surprised to get a text from him. And I figured you would take too long to reply back if I text so I called." he explained and I rolled my eyes.

"So guees what?" I asked grinning as he flipped through the channels.

"What? Got a girlfriend?" he asked and I gave him the finger.

"I can drive my dad's car now." I said as he finally picked a channel to stay on.

"You mean legally now?" he asked smirking and I huffed.

"Yes, legally now. So we should celebrate. Lance is coming over so why not invite the whole gang over?"

"You must be out of your damn mind, I'm not inviting everyone over to my place." Patrick scoffed.

"Dude, come on. At least invite Darby." I groan suggesting.

"Especially not Darby." Patrick says rolling his eyes. "Go celebrate somewhere else." he said as the doorbell was rung. "Mind answering the door? Since your still up and all." he says and I huff nodding.

I walked over to the door and opened it. Lance glanced at me and walked in. I closed her door behind me as Patrick glanced over.

"Hey, so I wanted to talk about last time you two came over. I really wanted to apologize about my brother." Lance said looking at me specifically and I glanced away.

"If that's all you could have just went to Cody's." Patrick said groaning as Lance and I rolled our eyes.

"Well I had more than that to say. Homecoming is coming around again. And since Cody went to the dance instead of spending that day with us last year I figured he needed to hear our plans." Lance explained.

"The whole gang isn't here though and no I don't want them here either." Patrick said quickly before I suggested them coming again.

"Why not? Three out of seven is here, might as well invite them here. I'm pretty sure Logan wouldn't be happy to see Cody again." Lance argued and I glanced at him. "Sorry Cody, anyway so it can't be at my place. Can't be at Cody's because of his family. Darby's place isn't a place anyone really wants to go to. Howie's is a no because of family also. And Piper's place is not big enough for us all."

"Then Meg's." Patrick muttered.

"We've never been to Meg's since she moved." I reply trying to imagine what her place could be like.

And that's how we ended up at Meg's the next day. She was not prepared for all us to be over there. Lucky for us her mom, uncle, and aunt who usually live with her were out together. Her place wasn't big but not small either. It was just the right amount of space and was bigger and better than Patrick's place.

"Meg you have such a lovely kitchen." Piper complimented while gushing.

"And lovely ice cream." Darby said sitting on the couch with a bowl of said chocolate ice cream.

"Stay out of the freezer and fridge if you don't ask for permission!" Meg yells as Darby puts a hand up in surrender as the other is used to feed himself some ice cream.

"Great idea about Meg's, Pat." Lance says grinning as he takes a seat on the couch also.

"Wait, it was your idea?" Meg asked pointing at Patrick who swallowed.

"Um..yeah kind of." Patrick mumbled laughing nervously.

"We need snacks out here!" I yelled making Meg roll her eyes but glare at Patrick before leaving to the kitchen.

"I think Meg isn't happy we're here." Patrick says sitting in a loveseat.

"What are you talking about?" Darby asks after swallowing.

"Well of course she isn't, she wasn't expecting us. That was the plan after all. If she knew she wouldn't have let us come." Lance says looking for the remote to the TV.

"You guys also do this to me and I hate it. So I know how she feels and I didn't want her put in my shoes." Patrick said with a sigh.

"It's almost like you care about others Pat." I say earning a glare from him.

"Something you don't seem to be capable of." he says getting up and leaves the living room as Lance whistles.

"Well shit, he got you there." Lance says grinning my way and I show him the finger. "With all seriousness here we need to focus on plans for homecoming that deals with not going." 

So I have wrote some new stories and I got some news! • NaNoWriMo Story: Bee Sting
Only one chapter on here for a sample but more chapters will be posted eventually!

•Tapas Story: Anger Guidance

I still have three other ongoing stories I need to work on. Anger Guidance I hope to be able to update weekly. So every week if I can. Then the Monday coming up My Youth will be updated. The Monday after Critical Thinking will be updated. Then the Monday after that Bipolar Sunshine will be updated. Repeat.

Bee Sting is just one of the many projects I'll be writing on my own but you all will be able to read it soon! This is also my first book certain themes such as GXG and GXB that I want to be actually published. Have a physical book of it would be amazing!

I'm working very hard but soon I will probably not update as much to prepare do the ACT (some of you take the SAT here in the USA), not sure about other countries. I'm going to do the ACT on February 9th 2018. So I will probably be updating less during January. Maybe even December. So maybe that month I won't update or I'll have a friend post my chapters for me if I have time to write.
