Chapter 14: Normal Day?

Recap: (Sorry I know this is late) Cody gets cheated on so he gets drunk and sleeps with his best friend's girlfriend in the past. Cody is welcomed back in one of his old friend's group since he lost his popularity and "friends" last year. Cody sees Ashton looking different and he seems to hate him. They end up bumping into each other at a job he's trying to work at. Goes over to Piper's House and finds out he must have done something because he was hurt? Spends time with friends and eventually starts working at Old Navy. Also might sister, might like girls? Bumps onto Logan one day without Logan noticing and eventually goes to his house by his twin brothers invite. Things go south. Starts having dreams about his friends and old ones. XD I'm not recapping the chapter before this one since it's not too old.

Cody's POV
I decided not to worry about earlier. Or for at least the meantime. I hardly saw my sister during school so wouldn't do much good for me to think about before. Eventually, I met up with Howie and Patrick. Not sure where the others were though.

"So Darby told me you got the job a while ago. I forgot to ask about it." Howie mentioned as we walked down the hallway together.

"Yes, I have to drop the knucklehead at home sometimes. Even pick him up." Patrick rolled his eyes and I huffed.

"Well excuse me I don't have my license yet so I can't technically drive myself to work," I replied to Patrick's complain but he only rolled his eyes again as Howie laughed.

"Then get your license," Howie suggested and I sighed.

"He doesn't want to get his license because his dad was supposed to take him there," Patrick spoke for me and I glared at him which he only responded with a shrug.

"Aw sorry, man," Howie said giving me a sympathetic look, at least some people cared, unlike Patrick.

"But Howie is right. You got your dad's car, don't you? So he's still with you in a way." Patrick said as we headed to class and I smiled a bit.

"I guess your right," I say, and these were times Patrick actually seemed to care.

In class as normal, it was a bit boring. Getting homework and tried to finish it up in class if I could. You know how most teachers like to give homework at the end of class so you have no time to start on it or finish it. But in my other classes, I would try to finish it if I didn't have anything else to really do. Though I never seemed to leave school without some homework or something to do for school. Sometimes I got lucky and did leave without nothing but my job to do some days.

Lunch came along and my eyes wandered the cafeteria. You bet I was looking for someone. If I had bumped into Logan in the bathroom that one time then maybe he had this lunch. My eyes ended up finding someone else and our eyes met. A pair of blue eyes only to belong to Ashton. He gave me a dirty look and I sat up as he looked away from.

"Who ya starin at?" I heard Darby asked and I cleared my throat turning my head in the direction of his voice.

He sat next to me with an overflowing tray. Mostly overflowing with different kinds of sauces to put on his...taco? I had a taco too but he had a lot on it. It no longer looked like a taco. Or at least not a normal one.

"Nobody," I said and he gave me a look that said he didn't believe me before he took a huge bite out of his taco making it sauce and food get all over the place kind of. "Ew," I said but he ignored me as he looked around. "What are you doing?" I asked before taking a bite out of my own taco.

"Mmm..looking for what you were looking at...ah!" he turned towards me smirking as son sauce dripped down his chin making me make a face. "So staring at Ashton huh?" he said before turning back to his mess of a tray and took another huge bite out of his taco.

"I was looking for someone else I just so happened to find him instead." I rolled my eyes as Piper came sitting next to the table giving Darby a disgusted look as he placed a bunch of napkins down before taking one wiping Darby's face making me snort as I tried to not laugh.

"Pi-Piper stop!" Darby said putting his taco down trying to push the napkin away that Piper used to clean up his face.

"You stop. Why do you eat like such a child." Piper grumbled throwing the napkin down on Darby's tray with a disgusted face as Darby pouted huffing, looking like a child.

"I would have said something a lot meaner than a child." I laughed and Darby flipped me off glaring but he still looked like a child so it just made me laugh more.

Hey, so this might be the last chapter for a while but don't worry. The chapter that will eventually be published once I have my notebook again I already started writing. I'm starting college today so it might be a while before I update any books really. Just wanted to let you all know!
