Mia loved meeting and getting to know Yugi's friends. She thought that they were really astonishing people to be with, and she couldn't wait to see them again to get to know them even more. Mia felt really attracted to Tristan, just in a friendly way. She had always wanted a big brother.

Tristan seemed pretty cool, all she knew was that the two of them were gonna grow pretty close to each other one day. Mia thought Joey was quite the hilarious friend. She liked hearing his Brooklyn accent, too, she thought it was pretty cute. Mia liked how Tea seemed pretty organized and mature. She thought it would be great to have another lady friend that was older than her to look up to. Mia thought she was very blessed to gain many new friends in what seemed like such little time. She could hardly remember how long she was in the orphanage for.

All she was able to remember was feeling lonely, scared, and worthless. She didn't know what she had done to deserve to be put into an orphanage. Just nothing made sense to her revolving around the current events of her past. And to be quite honest, Mia could not remember at all how she was put into the orphanage, who put her in the program, or what age she was put in it. She just didn't know.

Now, the afternoon had past and evening was upon Domino City. It was about 6:00 PM. Yugi's friends had recently gone home after meeting Mia, so it was just her and Yugi at the game shop. The two stayed in the living room for a while longer to just relax and keep hanging out. But Mia wanted to speak to Yugi about her confusing problem and see if he could help in giving her any advice.

"Yugi?" Yugi turned towards Mia.

"Yes, Mia?"

"I just don't get it, it doesn't make sense to me. I can't remember when or how I ended up in that orphanage in the first place. It just doesn't add up to me. I don't remember how long I was over there, either. I just don't know what to do to figure this out,". Yugi set an easy, kind hand on Mia's shoulder. He spoke to her in a reassuring voice.

"I'm sure we will be able to figure things out in good time. There isn't always an explanation to everything, but when the time is right everything will come together. I have a feeling there is a lot more to come ahead of us,". Mia shrugged.

"Yeah, I guess you're right,".

"But I'll always be there," assured Yugi, giving her a kind smile. Mia felt a little better, at least she felt she did.

"Thanks, Yugi,". Mia stayed quiet and thought for a minute, then a dark realization hit her mind. She gasped, a worried look taking over her face.

"What's wrong, Mia?" asked Yugi.

"Yugi - what if - what if my biological parents, whoever they are-" Mia tried to finish, but it was hard for her. Yugi pulled her closer to him, worried about what she might say.

"What if they gave me up because they didn't want me? What if they didn't love me? What if I wasn't good enough for them?" she questioned, as her voice slightly began to tremble. She quietly began to cry, a single tear slowing rolling down her cheek. Yugi brought Mia into a tight hug. He felt truly bad for her for what she was just thinking. He tried to comfort her as much as he could.

"Oh, Mia, that's not true. You are good enough. You are good enough for me, you would have been good enough for your birth parents, I'm sure of it,". Yugi wiped her few tears off her face.

"Then - then why would they give me up?" Yugi soothingly and softly rubbed Mia's back, tenderly speaking.

"I don't know, Mia. But do you know what?" Mia looked up at Yugi, straight in the eye. She slightly sniffled.

"What?"

"You deserve a kind, loving family that takes care of you no matter what. Trust me, Mia, I don't know you too well quite yet, but I know that you are a wondrous child. You're beautiful and very sweet. I know things have been very hard for you lately. But I'll always be there to take care of you. I came to you, and I'm never leaving you. I promise". Mia began to feel a little bit better.
