Mia sat up from the pillows with a yawn as she woke up from a long night. She tiredly rubbed her eyes trying to feel more awake. She got up out of bed and walked to the window on the other side of the room and opened the blinds.

"It's a new day," she reminded herself as she saw the morning sun shining behind the clouds, "just try your best." She changed into her clothes she chose for the day and went to find Yugi.

"Yugi?"

"I'm over here, Mia," he responded, "I'm on the phone, I'll be there in a minute, sweetheart."

"Oh, okay."

"So Mia gets her stitches out today right?" Tristan asked over the phone.

"Yes, she does. I'm so relieved for her."

"Yeah man, I'm happy for her too. Do you guys have a ride yet?"

"I was going to call for a taxi."

"What? Man, I'll come over there and give y'all a ride for free. Besides, I wanted to see Mia before she went for her appointment anyway."

"Alright, sure. Thanks Tristan."

"Anytime, seriously, you know I'm always a phone call away. When's her appointment again?"

"This morning, here in a little bit."

"Okay, well I'll get ready and I'll be on my way."

"I'll see you soon then, Tristan."

"See you two in a little bit. Bye."

"That was Tristan?" Mia asked.

"Yep, he's coming to pick us up and take you to your appointment."

"Really?"

"Mm-hm, he'll be here soon so let's eat some breakfast and finish getting you ready."

"Yeah, okay." She then looked down to the floor, frowning.

"What is it, Mia?" She just shrugged her shoulders a little. He put his hands on her shoulders.

"Mia, I know you're still upset about grandpa, I am too. But we will have our chance to get him back once that tournament starts."

"I just miss him."

"I miss him too, Mia, I know. Just remember, he will always be with us in spirit. But there are also reasons to be happy today. You're finally getting rid of those stitches and your going to feel so much better when they're gone. Let's try our best to just keep today as positive as possible. Can you do that for me?" A smile came back to Mia's face.

"Yeah, okay, Yugi. I think I can."

"That's my girl, now Tristan will be here soon so let's get going."

"Right, okay."

Tristan picked his friends up from the game shop and took them to the hospital for Mia's appointment.

"I'll take you guys back when you're done. Call me when you two are done."

"We will Tristan, thanks for the ride!" Mia said.

"Anytime, sis, see ya in a while. See ya Yugi!"

"Bye Tristan. Thanks again."

"No problem man!" he then hollered as he drove off.

"Alright, let's go Mia."

"Okay." They got Mia checked in and were now sitting in the waiting room for a little while. Mia didn't look like herself though.
